"Garbage Fruit."

Rogge looked at the smoke surrounding him and still could not help mocking Smoker's Smoke-Smoke Fruit ability. It was utter garbage.

Unlike other Logias, the Smoke-Smoke Fruit was completely useless. The smoke was thick and plentiful, but what was it good for? Aside from allowing his body to become elemental, Smoker was indeed invincible, but beyond elementalization, the ability itself was truly worthless. Garbage.

Even Caribou, who was called useless, at least had the Swamp-Swamp Fruit's storage and devouring ability. He could swallow someone into a swamp-like environment and suffocate them to death.

What could Smoker's smoke do? Who had ever seen smoke kill someone? Unless they inhaled too much and had trouble breathing—but under those circumstances, who could be taken down so easily? Only people who were weak to begin with.

In any case, Rogge had left Smoker's smoke range without a scratch. Smoker also could not envelop him over a large area. Clearly, his use of his Devil Fruit ability was still lacking.

"So this is a Logia?" Rogge stared at Smoker ahead of him.

"Tch!" Smoker naturally knew Rogge was looking down on his ability, and he glared at him fiercely.

"Garbage fruit, garbage ability," Rogge assessed without the slightest courtesy.

"So all you have left is that mouth of yours? I'll crush you, then send you to Impel Down," Smoker said coldly.

"What, did that hit a nerve? You thought eating a Logia Devil Fruit would make you invincible, but you never realized you'd eaten a garbage fruit. It looks pretty powerful now, but it won't hold up later. I think your ability is even less useful than that pink-haired female Marine's."

When he had watched the anime, Smoker had seemed so powerful in the East Blue arc, riding around on a motorcycle with that smug, badass attitude.

Then he entered the Grand Line and immediately started getting beaten down. In Alabasta, Crocodile nearly drowned him, and he was only saved because of Luffy. During the Marineford War, the Pirate Empress utterly crushed him. Two years later, he became a vice admiral in the New World, only to be defeated by Vergo, have his body swapped by Law, and get beaten half to death by Donquixote Doflamingo.

The guy was nothing but a walking backdrop, yet some people even compared him to Garp.

Roger had Garp, and Luffy had Smoker?

Damn it, were they blind? This guy could not even beat Drake, who was from the same generation. Drake infiltrated the Beasts Pirates and became one of the Flying Six, second only to the Three Calamities. His combat power might even have rivaled Jack's.

Maybe Koby had a chance, but Smoker should forget it. Garbage ability, lousy hand-to-hand combat.

He was nothing more than a benchmark for measuring strength. He could no longer be called a strong man. At least, Rogge did not think he was strong. He was perfect practice material, and Rogge probably would not even need the backup plan he had arranged earlier.

After hearing Rogge's words, Smoker was already burning with rage. It was the first time anyone had looked down on him like this. In the first half of the Grand Line and the Four Blues, he could practically go wherever he pleased, as long as he did not court death by provoking powerful nations.

Yet in front of Rogge, he was being called garbage. Rogge was not only saying his Devil Fruit ability was garbage, but that he himself was garbage too.

But Rogge did not think he was wrong. Whether a Devil Fruit ability was garbage or not did not really matter to some people; its development depended entirely on the user.

Hearing that, Rogge wanted to spit in his face. Devil Fruit abilities naturally had stronger and weaker distinctions. During the Marineford War especially, Akainu's Magma-Magma Fruit and Ace's Flame-Flame Fruit had a superior-inferior relationship. Donquixote Doflamingo had even envied Crocodile's Gravel-Gravel Fruit.

Were they really supposed to compare the Spring-Spring Fruit with the Tremor-Tremor Fruit just because both were Paramecias? Or compare Chopper's Human-Human Fruit with Kaido's Azure Dragon Fruit just because both were Zoans?

Was that not a joke? Compared to other Logias, the Smoke-Smoke Fruit was plainly the shame of the Logia class. Even Monet's Snow-Snow Fruit was better than it.

Without his Seastone weapon, Smoker could do little against Rogge, and Rogge had awakened Observation Haki. If the two continued fighting, neither would be able to do much to the other.

Rogge could not harm Smoker, while Smoker had no other means of attacking Rogge. Smoke truly had little offensive power, so he could only rely on his own body to attack Rogge.

But he had to be careful. If Rogge caught an opening and landed a punch, that would be no laughing matter.

Through their battle, he understood why Hina had described Rogge's fruit as a vicious Devil Fruit. Anything it touched could be shattered. That trait already completely surpassed his Logia Smoke-Smoke Fruit and even made him think of those monsters in the New World.

Although they held the numerical advantage, with ten warships and over a thousand Marines, Rogge's pirate crew of only a few people crushed them in individual strength. Other than numbers, they had almost no advantage at all.

Hina and Jelly were fighting, and neither could gain the upper hand. Jelly could even control other vines to support his companions.

Ever since he began training his Devil Fruit ability, Jelly's strength had grown faster than anyone else's except Rogge. The Vine-Vine Fruit had made him stronger and more versatile. He rarely used weapons now, because vines were his weapons.

"Smoker, I told you already—your Devil Fruit ability is completely useless." Rogge threw a punch, and Smoker's body was instantly smashed into a cloud of smoke that scattered through the air.

"So what? You still can't escape." Smoker condensed his body again and appeared behind Rogge.

Unfortunately, Rogge activated his body's ability, forcing Smoker to enter elementalization once more.

"Logias aren't without weaknesses." Rogge suddenly recalled that when Smoker first appeared, his weakness seemed to have already been made clear.

The weakness of the smoke fruit was actually wind, because wind could blow smoke apart and force Smoker out of his elemental state.

Even Dragon's ability might have been designed from the start to perfectly counter Smoker the moment he appeared.

"I don't have wind, but shockwaves can create wind pressure. I can still make that much wind. Let's see if it works." Rogge raised his fist, his Devil Fruit ability wrapping around it.

"It's useless. Your ability can't hurt me." Smoker recovered, white smoke billowing from his lower body as he charged forward like a snake.

"Sky-Shattering Fist!"

"White Launcher."

"Boom!"

His fist struck the air, and the resulting shockwave directly scattered Smoker's body. As the wind pressure formed, Smoker finally failed to fully elementalize, revealing his body once more from within the smoke.

"Here's my chance."
