Carl followed Rogge with a helpless look on her face. She was a professional con artist, yet in a muddle, she had somehow become a pirate. And her captain was one of the Shichibukai, with a Logia Devil Fruit user under his command.

Carl truly did not know whether she was unlucky or should be happy. Her feelings were mixed.

"Your Devil Fruit ability can only alter your body's condition? You can't modify anything else?" Rogge asked.

"For now, I can only modify my own body and things I touch," Carl said with a nod.

"Just as I thought. Make good use of that Devil Fruit. One day, your achievements might even surpass Enel's," Rogge said.

"Tch, he's just a Paramecia Devil Fruit user."

Enel immediately became displeased when he heard that. Any random nobody could supposedly achieve more than him? How was he supposed to keep going like that?

Rogge smiled. "You're all Devil Fruit users, so you should know that Devil Fruits have stages. If you continue developing your abilities, they may eventually lead to Devil Fruit Awakening. Once awakened, their power will increase without limit, enough to affect the surrounding environment or even directly alter an island's weather."

"You mean that if his Devil Fruit ability awakens, he could even modify the surrounding environment?" Jelly asked, stroking his chin.

"Maybe. Or maybe he'll never awaken it in his life. After all, out of a hundred Devil Fruit users, perhaps only one or two can awaken. Most become arrogant after obtaining their fruits, then die," Rogge said with a smile.

Carl felt a chill run through her entire body. Rogge was smiling at her, yet she did not feel even a trace of warmth. Instead, she felt bone-deep
