Heavenly Weeping was a no-hand-sign ninjutsu. He had just used Heavenly Weeping twice, and the Grind Panel had immediately judged it to be at the beginner level. He no longer had to slowly grind his way up from uninitiated. When he had learned Water Dragon Bullet, the forty-four hand signs alone had kept him stuck at uninitiated for two months.
Now that he had reached the beginner level, all he had to do was keep practicing. If he only condensed a single high-density water needle, he found that he could use Heavenly Weeping five times a day. He had already used it twice.
He condensed another water needle in his mouth and fired it at a tree trunk. With a whoosh, the needle struck the trunk. This time, he could clearly feel its penetrating power and density increasing. When it hit the trunk, the water needle did not even shatter.
He still had plenty of chakra left, so he decided to use it to find food. After telling Terai, he headed into the forest. Before long, he came running back out, chased by a wild boar with one eye already blinded by a kunai.
"Fuck, help! Nepotism hire, get over here and help!" Lin Chuan ran for his life from a boar over two meters long. After leaving the forest, he charged toward Terai.

"Where did this huge boar come from? Isn't it way too big?" Seeing the boar charging toward him, Terai jumped straight into a tree. He did not dare face the boar's sharp tusks head-on.
"Stop talking and kill it. That'll be enough food for us for days." Lin Chuan was also standing in a tree, looking down at the boar as it prepared to charge. It was clearly planning to ram the tree.
"This boar must weigh four or five hundred jin, right? How do we kill it?" Terai licked his lips, interested in Lin Chuan's suggestion. If they could deal with this boar, they could devote all their time to learning ninjutsu without worrying about food.
Lin Chuan glanced over the riverside and spotted two huge boulders not far away, with a narrow gap between them. His eyes lit up, and he said excitedly.
"See its eyes? I ruined one of them. If we blind the other and turn it completely blind, we can lure it into that gap between the boulders and trap it there. Then you stab its heart with your blade and kill it in one hit..."
"All right, leave it to me." The moment Terai left the tree, the boar slammed into the trunk with a thunderous crash. The entire tree shuddered, and its fruit rained down.
Lin Chuan leaped away the instant the boar rammed the tree. From another tree, he saw it desperately shaking its head. It had probably been dazed by the impact. He immediately formed hand signs, using river water to create a Water Clone. He had the clone draw the boar's attention while his real body hid behind the boulders.
The Water Clone threw a stone at the boar. It struck the boar's already-dizzy head, successfully drawing its aggro. The boar charged desperately at the clone by the gap between the boulders. The clone quickly passed through the gap, while the boar above it charged straight in without slowing down.
Taking the opportunity, Lin Chuan emerged from behind the boulder and flung a kunai at the boar's eye. With his accuracy against moving targets, there was no way he could miss. Yet the instant the boar's pupil saw the kunai, it actually shut its eye to block it. The kunai could not pierce its hide.
He had only blinded its other eye because the boar had been unprepared and he had struck its pupil in one blow. Now that it was on guard, blinding its remaining eye was going to be troublesome.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—
Fortunately, he had thrown three kunai. As the boar charged, the three blades continuously blocked its vision. In the end, it plunged headfirst into the gap between the boulders and became stuck in the middle because of its massive size.
Terai then burst forward with a Body Flicker, driving his short blade straight into the boar's armpit beneath its front leg, where its heart was located. The strike pierced its heart clean through.
"Oink! Oink, oink!" Its heart pierced, the boar opened its jaws and let out miserable screams. Its lone eye turned bloodshot as it glared at Terai. This tiny human was the one who had stabbed it. It wanted nothing more than to rip him apart with its tusks and massive jaws, but he stood in its blind spot, leaving it unable to bite him.
Lin Chuan followed close behind, drawing his blade and appearing with a Body Flicker. He thrust upward into the boar's throat from below, then instantly withdrew his blade and retreated. Blood sprayed everywhere from its throat.
Terai withdrew his blade and stepped back as well. Had he been any slower, he would have been splattered with blood. He had no desire to bathe in the river and leave himself soaking wet.
Blood dripped from their short blades as they stood at a distance, silently watching the boar scream and bleed. Only after it had bled dry and could no longer cry out did its head finally droop completely.
However, the boar's cries could be heard through most of the Forest of Death. Lin Chuan and Terai did not care. Lin Chuan stopped Terai as he tried to approach, formed hand signs, and shouted, "Water Release: Water Shock Wave..."
A huge stream of water sprayed from his mouth, washing the blood around the boar and boulders into the river. Only then did they step forward to butcher the huge boar.
They lit a fire nearby, first cutting off one of the boar's front legs and tossing it into the flames to roast. They also threw all the edible organs into the fire. Didn't predators in animal documentaries all love eating organs? That was because organs were the easiest to digest.
The two continued cutting the boar in half and dragged it out of the gap between the boulders. Each took half the boar and handled his own share, hanging the divided chunks of pork beside the fire so they could dry as quickly as possible.
Once they had finished processing the boar, they dug the organs out of the fire, cut away the charred outer portions, and ate only the thoroughly cooked parts inside. They lacked seasonings, and the boar's gamey smell was strong, but neither of them cared about that right now. They dug in heartily.
After lunch, they gathered more dry firewood and made the fire larger, continuing to dry the pork. The boar's front leg by the fire was for dinner. It would probably be fully cooked by dusk, so the two returned to studying their respective ninjutsu nearby.
Before nightfall, they pulled the roasted pig leg from the fire, cut away the burnt portions, and ate only the tenderest meat. Then they gathered up all the jerky, wrapped it in large leaves from the forest, tied the leaves with vines, and quickly left the riverside boulder gap where they had killed the boar during the day.
They could not stay there any longer. The beasts that had smelled blood during the day were already ravenous. If the two of them had not been in an open area, they would have been ambushed by those beasts long ago.
They had not even fully cleaned up the boar. They had only taken the choicest fat and lean meat. Some scraps of meat still clung to the remaining skeleton, along with the organs they did not eat. The enormous boar's head had not been touched at all.
Just after they left the riverbank, a hungry leopard emerged from the forest. Its eyes gleamed with a faint green light as it stared at the boar carcass by the boulders and drooled. After scanning the riverside and confirming that the two humans had left, it pounced directly on the boar's remaining organs. Once it had eaten its fill, it carried off a bone and slowly gnawed on it.
After that, many small carnivores and scavengers appeared, all coming to share in the feast. They tore the boar's skeleton apart until only a pile of white bones remained.
Others who had been curious about what had happened here during the day saw the firelight go out and quietly came over to investigate. What they saw was countless carnivores dividing the boar, with its enormous skeleton still standing there. No one knew who had killed that giant boar.
