A wooden Buddha?
Sengoku's expression immediately darkened further, and his thoughts were suddenly dragged back to just before they had set out for God Valley.
The harbor at Marine Headquarters.
The sea wind howled through the gap in the harbor.
Tsuru stood on the pier, her gaze resting on the two figures waving to her from the railing of a Marine warship.
"Garp, Sengoku, make sure you come back safely!" Tsuru shouted.
"Don't worry. With me around, I won't let that bastard Garp do anything reckless," Sengoku replied, waving.
Garp immediately took offense. He turned toward Sengoku and retorted, "Would you stop treating me like some guy with no regard for the rules?"
"You know better than anyone whether you are," Sengoku shot back irritably, giving Garp no quarter.
Below them, Tsuru was long used to their arguments, so... she simply chose to ignore them.
"Make sure you watch out for Ron! Last time, I saw him unleash a wooden Buddha as tall as the sky, with countless arms. Roger suffered a crushing defeat against that move."
"As tall as the sky? With countless arms?" Sengoku murmured, repeating her words before frowning slightly. "That's a bit of an exaggeration, isn't it, Tsuru?"
"Believe me, if Ron uses that move, never try to meet it head-on, no matter when it happens. Especially a certain someone," Tsuru said gravely.
She had witnessed the power of Ron's move with her own eyes.
Roger was strong, wasn't he?
Even someone as strong as him could do nothing but take a beating against that move of Ron's.
"Hahaha! Don't worry, Tsuru. Never mind taking him head-on, I'll steer clear the moment I see him. As for that 'certain someone,' I'll make sure to hold him back for you," Garp said with a laugh.
