Faced with the onrushing blast of dust, Stussy covered her mouth and nose, burying almost her entire face in Whitebeard's back.
"What could be more miserable than a trip this awful? Right, Newgate?" she complained.
Running at full speed, Whitebeard retorted without looking back, "You're upset because all you could think about was how Elbaf's giants were so big that their treasure must be huge too, only to get nothing because of the conflict."
"Tsk." Stussy pouted, lowered the hands covering her face, and gave Whitebeard's back two moderately firm thumps. "Hey, Newgate, when are you going to change your impression of me? Sure, I, Stussy, like treasure, but I'm not that ridiculous!"
She paused, her voice suddenly softening a little. "Besides, in my heart, I think of you as someone truly great, someone I can really rely on."
The corner of Whitebeard's mouth twitched slightly as he countered, "Tch, that's because I'm the only one who bothers with you, and the only one who won't fight you over things."
Of course, Whitebeard was telling the truth.
In the entire Rocks Pirates, no one besides Whitebeard would give way to Stussy. If they didn't rob her, that was already doing her a favor, something she should count her blessings for. As for letting her have something? Not a chance.
"Hmph!" Stussy snorted indignantly. "Who says you're the only one? Don't Ron and Kaido let me have things now too? And they're both really cute!"
"Heh heh heh." Her words made Whitebeard laugh. "Who was it who told me Kaido nearly swung his club at her head a few days ago? Hmm, now that I think about it, that really is cute."
"Newgate! Hmph!" Stussy's cheeks puffed up with anger, and her breathing grew noticeably faster. She was clearly upset.
