Xin was a top student at the Spirit Training Academy and served as its Student Council President. Although capable enough to receive early recruitment offers, he initially preferred remaining a student and openly disliked fighting and killing. He continued daily cultivation despite recognizing that his progress was slow. 1 14

His Zanpakutō awakening made him a prominent figure at the academy. He later demonstrated overwhelming swordsmanship by defeating Renji Abarai in one move and declining the event’s grand prize. 12 27
