The three stood on the observation deck.

There was a patch of water on the floor, as if some liquid had soaked it.

Why was there water here?

He thought about it.

Forget it. This is the seafloor. A little water is perfectly normal, right?

He did not pay it much attention and raised his head.

"Brook, Gunko, I—"

Before he could finish—

"Br-Brook!"

"Gunko—"

They spoke at the same time.

Yet when they said those names, their emotions were completely different.

Gunko's voice carried longing.

Brook's was filled with killing intent.

He drew the thin sword at his waist, its blade giving off a faint chill.

Flames burned within his empty eye sockets.

"So it was you after all—Princess Gunko—"

Gunko opened her mouth, but no sound came out.

She wanted to say something, to explain something, but her mind was completely blank.

Those memories that should have existed, those memories that should have explained everything—were gone.

There was nothing.

Only that name, the name that surged from the depths of her soul:
