Dan Chen and Lu Chuan grew up together as childhood sweethearts in Danta. When Lu Chuan was believed to have fallen from a Nine-Star Dou Zong to a crippled Nine-Star Dou Zhe, she remained devoted to him and personally proposed their marriage. Their wedding was approved by Danta’s Three Giants and held in the Danta disciples’ square. 1

Cao Ying tried to halt the ceremony, arguing that Lu Chuan’s apparent weakness would ruin Dan Chen’s future. Dan Chen publicly rejected this interference, stating that the proposal had been her own decision and that Lu Chuan was the only person in her heart. 1
