Jia Xing Tian emerged from seclusion after failing to advance from the peak Dou Emperor realm to Dou Zong. Though disappointed, he remained chiefly concerned with the Misty Cloud Sect’s growing influence, which he believed was undermining the imperial family’s authority within the Jia Ma Empire 6.

When the Sky Screen revealed that Lu Chuan would annihilate the Misty Cloud Sect, Jia Xing Tian first assessed Lu Chuan as a potentially useful expert to recruit. Once the Screen identified Lu Chuan as a Peak Nine-Star Dou Saint, he recognized that the imperial family could neither resist nor casually offend him, and ordered an empire-wide search to locate and honor him 6.

The search produced no information despite investigations across major cities and influential families. The later revelation of Lu Chuan’s Phoenix Nirvana Pill further convinced Jia Xing Tian that securing Lu Chuan’s favor was essential to the empire’s future 16.
