Background

Xiao He was a university student whose past became intertwined with Lin Tiannan through Di Xiehai, a department-mate from an online World of Warcraft guild. After Xiao criticized Di’s irresponsible behavior, Di publicly humiliated him over wealth and social status. Di and Lin later drove toward Xiao deliberately; Xiao refused to evade and kicked the vehicle away with his emerging strength. Lin Tiannan was left paralyzed, while Di was seriously injured. Xiao later questioned whether his hatred for Lin had contributed to the origin of his Superpower, but had no answer 158.

He transferred into Beichang University of Science and Technology as part of an undercover assignment for the Special Response Department. He was assigned to live with Ye Wanqing and maintain a fake-couple cover despite their immediate domestic incompatibility 3.
