Acquisition and Forms

• The formation of a Soul Ring Soul Skill depends on the Martial Soul, the source Soul Beast, and how completely the Soul Master absorbs and accepts the ring. Xu Huxiao therefore studies a beast’s innate abilities before absorption to improve the resulting skill 38.
• A resulting Soul Skill need not reproduce a single innate ability unchanged. Shadow Counter-Spike Light Armor combines two abilities of its source beast, while Xu Huxiao chooses Golden Dragon Heavy Charge over abilities that would duplicate or disrupt his existing combat system 40 188.
• Soul Masters can generally select and combine Soul Skills through their choice of Soul Rings, whereas transformed Soul Beasts such as Yun Ji condense their own rings and follow a different process 29 43.
• Soul Beast innate abilities and Soul Master Soul Skills remain distinct. Da Ming’s assumed human form does not make him part of the Soul Master system: his Martial Soul, Level, and Soul Skill fields remain “None,” despite his Soul Beast powers 338.

Mechanics and Limitations

• Soul Skills are techniques solidified from Soul Power rather than infallible rule-based powers; their output must remain within what the user’s physique, Martial Soul, and Soul Power can bear 200.
• A Soul Skill’s amplification automatically adjusts downward when its full output would overload the user’s body, preventing self-inflicted collapse 200.
• A glowing Soul Ring is the usual sign that a Soul Ring Soul Skill is being activated 52.
• Strong early Soul Skills may become less comparatively effective as a Soul Master’s base strength rises faster than their physical capacity can support the original amplification 200.
• Soul Skill silence can be induced by disrupting the Martial Soul’s control through precisely tuned vibrations; once the Martial Soul is affected, it cannot accurately control Soul Rings or activate Soul Skills 171.
• Support-type Soul Power is generally gentler and more readily accepted by recipients, reducing—but not eliminating—the physical limitations associated with powerful enhancements 200.
• Soul Skills can have activation times and cooldown intervals. Rapidly activating and deactivating a skill is not equivalent to removing those intervals; Burning Ring’s final stage provides a separate mechanism for continuous activation 297.

Dismantling and Recombination

Soul Skill dismantling is an advanced combat technique in which a Soul Master separates a skill’s characteristics and uses only the portions suited to the immediate situation. It increases attack efficiency and conserves Soul Power. Certain high-level noble academies teach the technique, while ordinary independent Soul Masters rarely master it 263.

Xu Huxiao develops a more detailed practical approach, teaching Hu Liena and Orleans to integrate individual skill characteristics into their fighting at the most appropriate moments. Once dismantling is thoroughly mastered, those components can be recombined with Martial Soul characteristics to develop Self-Created Soul Skills 306.

• Precision activation: Xu Huxiao activates Size Multiplication at the ideal striking distance and cancels it immediately after impact. This improves surprise, attack rhythm, and Soul Power efficiency, but requires greater mental effort 255 297.
• Partial activation: A Soul Skill need not always be activated in its entirety. Xu Huxiao’s experiments with Golden Dragon Heavy Charge use incomplete activation to limit expenditure 188.
• Altered activation: Detailed understanding of a skill’s principles permits changes to its activation method. Xu Huxiao treats Diamond Shock as a technique that can be optimized rather than an immutable copy of a Soul Beast ability 188.

Self-Created Soul Skills

• Self-Created Soul Skills cannot simply be gained from Soul Rings and are generally closely guarded by their creators 5 84.
• They may be standalone martial techniques or compound abilities built by combining existing Soul Skills 210.
• Many recorded Self-Created Soul Skills are simple applications of movement, force redirection, charging, or weapon handling; Xu Huxiao considers techniques that never progress beyond superficial force manipulation to be limited 96.
• Xu Huxiao regards their flexibility, variations, unpredictability, and growth potential as major advantages over conventional Soul Ring skills; this is his assessment rather than an absolute rule governing every skill 70.
• Self-created techniques can be taught and inherited. Xu Bayan teaches Xu Huxiao his methods, while Orleans learns a Self-Created Soul Skill from Ghost Leopard Douluo 70 84 297.
• Lin Mengmeng’s Great Binding: Amber House is a large-scale control technique formed by combining Binding Amber with Echoes of the Past, using gems prepared and stored beforehand 210.

Burning Ring

Xu Bayan’s Burning Ring is a self-created explosive technique for Beast Martial Soul Soul Masters with powerful qi and blood. It connects qi and blood to the user’s Soul Rings and demands precise Martial Soul control 5.

• Ordinary practitioners require Martial Soul Avatar to support the final stage, since the avatar permits more direct control over the Martial Soul and its Soul Skills 297.
• Below rank 95, the final stage can greatly increase Soul Power. A practitioner at the rank-95 threshold who comprehends momentum may briefly reach rank 96; the exact increase is not identical for every user, and Xu Bayan’s former Titled Douluo insights contribute to his exceptional result 297.
• Xu Huxiao begins learning the technique with Xu Bayan’s approval. His blood-qi, internal-organ strength, and Perfect Silver Body satisfy the first two stages, while his control beyond ordinary Martial Soul Heart mastery allows him to cultivate the final stage without possessing Martial Soul Avatar 297.
• Xu Huxiao later masters Burning Ring alongside his Diamond Body. This does not resolve his separate goal of fully merging blood essence with Yang Origin Soul Power, and no further Martial Soul evolution or new innate ability results from that attempted fusion 311.

Exceptional Use Cases

• Xu Huxiao’s enlightenment on the Angel Ascension Stairway lets him directly control Soul Power without using his Martial Soul as an intermediary 108.
• Through this ability, he can activate Shadow Counter-Spike Light Armor and Multiplication: Gluttonous Grip without Martial Soul Possession or visible Soul Rings; this provides concealment and surprise rather than increasing the skills’ inherent power 108 109.
• His first Soul Ring later evolves from yellow to purple alongside the evolution of his Martial Soul, strengthening Multiplication: Gluttonous Grip without changing its threefold strength-and-defense limit 241 255.
• The Tortoise Breath Skill allows him to change Soul Ring colors or hide them. By rapidly changing their shades, he also imitates the appearance of ring activation, misleading observers into interpreting his Dragon-Subduing Palm techniques as Soul Ring skills 36 52.
• Absorbing Soul Bone origin energy through Yun Ji’s Five-Colored Heavenly Pearls temporarily freezes his Twin Arms Martial Soul and prevents Soul Skill use. After the energy is refined, the skills are unsealed and Shadow Counter-Spike Light Armor is strengthened 41 42 105.
• Xu Huxiao animates a tangible Golden Dragon with Little Golden Dragon’s spiritual essence, then equips it with Golden Dragon Heavy Charge armor. Fusion and Cooperative Use

Martial Soul Fusion

A complete Martial Soul Fusion Skill normally requires Martial Soul compatibility, synchronized Soul Power, and connected spiritual powers. Their combined resonance produces new energy and a qualitative leap in power, rather than merely adding the participants’ existing outputs together 285.

• The previously accepted theory required innate Martial Soul compatibility above 60%. The Golden Iron Triangle challenges this view by creating Golden Sacred Dragon from a Farting Piglet, Fire Dragon, and Four-Eyed Cat Eagle whose theoretical innate compatibility is below 30% 285.
• Master attributes this achievement to wisdom and perseverance but does not disclose the method. Whether acquired fusion can overcome or surpass innate compatibility remains one of the Soul Master world’s ten great unsolved mysteries 285.
• Xu Huxiao’s Four Extremes Golden Dragon Claw and Qian Renxue’s Angel Martial Soul display an instinctive attraction and form a platinum barrier of Golden Dragon scales and Angel feathers. This confirms fusion potential, not the completion of a named fusion skill 284 285.
• Xu Huxiao refuses to rely on their prospective fusion skill without sufficient trust. Instead, he uses their compatibility for controlled dual cultivation to nourish and repair her Broken-Wing Angel Martial Soul 285.

Ring Fusion is an innate talent rather than a universally learnable technique. It can concentrate the Soul Power output of multiple Soul Rings into one Soul Skill, raising that skill’s upper limit of power. Its broader applications include concentrating teammates’ Soul Power into a single recipient, subject to proficiency and physical endurance 99.

The Seven-in-One Fusion Skill taught by Xu Huxiao is nevertheless learnable without that talent. Its essential technical requirements are synchronized Soul Power frequencies and appropriate output ratios. Teams using identical Martial Souls and Soul Skills can synchronize more easily and use equal output ratios; heterogeneous teams require more careful coordination 306.

• Xu Huxiao identifies Hu Liena’s spiritual control, Heart Separation Control, and Red Fox Illusion Demon as the means of guiding the Golden Team’s synchronization 306.
• Hu Liena’s role is to guide the shared frequency and regulate contributions, rather than directly control all seven participants at once 306.
