Breaking the Formation

"Shen Luo!" Xie Yuxin's brows drew tight.

"Don't worry about me. Break the formation, quickly!" Sweat covered Shen Luo's forehead, and fresh blood seeped from the corner of his mouth as he shouted through gritted teeth.

Xie Yuxin pressed the Shadowless Jade against the barrier's curtain of light, pouring every last bit of her magic power into it.

The Shadowless Jade blazed. Rings of light spread from it like ripples across water and fell upon the barrier, mingling with its yellow glow to form a hazy patch.

Xie Yuxin reached toward it. Her hand passed straight through and entered the barrier.

Delight flashed in her eyes. She sprang forward through the curtain of light and leaped into the great pit.

At the sight, Xuan Xiao flew into a rage and roared at Shen Luo:

"Get out of my way!"

As the words left his mouth, baleful energy surged through his robes and burst outward.

His aura shifted rapidly, and the fluctuations of his magic power climbed from the Early Out-of-Body Stage toward the Mid-Out-of-Body Stage.

At the same time, his body shot upward and his face twisted. In moments, he had become an ugly, ferocious giant nearly thirty feet tall—more like a Ghost King than the Ghost King himself.

He swept out a hand. Five streaks of black light shot from his enormous palm like razor-sharp sickles, slashing diagonally toward Shen Luo on a mighty gust of wind.

Clang!

The tremendous force struck the Black Armor Shield, wrenching it from Shen Luo's hand and sending it tumbling aside.

Xuan Xiao brought his five fingers together, and a cold gleam shot from his palm, stabbing straight toward Shen Luo's chest and abdomen.

With no shield left to protect him, Shen Luo could only put all his strength into the Slanting Moon
