"Mao Chun, that's enough. You can withdraw your poison gas now," Shen Luo called out with a frown.
As soon as he finished speaking, the pink mist permeating the area began to shrink back. Before long, the surroundings were clear again, and Shen Luo saw the Sea Hairy Worm Mao Chun sprawled atop Yu Lu, drawing in the last traces of poison gas.
Within a range of two or three feet around Yu Lu, scarlet worms resembling earthworms crawled about, though all of them had already been killed by Mao Chun's poison.
"How is he?" Shen Luo stepped forward and asked with concern.
"His blood and qi have been badly depleted, and he was also contaminated by some of my poison. His injuries don't seem light," Mao Chun replied.
Shen Luo's gaze sharpened. "You've worked hard. You won't be of much help here for now, so go back first."
With that, he used the Spirit-Linking Art once more and sent Mao Chun back.
"Fellow Daoist Xie..." Shen Luo supported "Yu Lu" and fed him a medicinal pill, yet that was the name he called.
The person in his arms coughed lightly and slowly opened her eyes. Her expression was haggard, but she still asked, "How did you know it was me?"
Shen Luo spread open one palm. Resting in it was a grayish stone—the Shadowless Jade.
"I had already felt a strangely familiar aura from you. Once I saw this, I recognized you immediately." Shen Luo smiled.
Upon hearing this, "Yu Lu" rubbed behind her ear, then somewhat laboriously kneaded her face a few times. Her ordinary male features quickly transformed into the lovely face of a young woman.
Who else could it have been but Xie Yuxin?
"How are you? Are you all right?" Shen Luo asked worriedly.
"My
