"The continent turned into a gigantic spaceship!" Romon murmured.
Within the illusion of the void, Romon saw the shattered crystal sphere crack apart. A small fragment automatically broke away from the ruined crystal sphere and headed toward the newborn universe.
Perhaps a long time passed, perhaps only a brief instant. The ruined crystal sphere drifted away and vanished into the void, while this fragment stubbornly continued onward.
It could be seen that along the way, the fragment lost more and more of itself, growing ever smaller.
Yet at last, it neared the newborn universe and slammed into it violently.
In an instant, an inconceivably enormous flash tore apart the darkness, illuminating the entire void. The fragment exploded, most of it destroyed, leaving only a small piece that survived and rushed inside.
The next moment, thunder and fire burst forth—the figure of the Lord of Radiance appeared.
At that instant, Romon's eyes lost focus. They saw through the void, crossed the boundaries of time and space, and in his gaze, all existence lost its secrets.
"So that was it!" Romon said absently. Humans, Dwarves, Great Dragons, and Orcs appeared before him one after another.
A Black Dragon bore the sun upon its head, occupying the very center.
When chaos first parted, the universe hung in the void like a pellet. From it emerged the World Tree, the Way of this world.
The World Tree had originally borne six fruits. They were the foundational gods of the world.
Yet once in countless ages, two universes had drawn near each other.
Ordinarily, this would have been harmless. But that universe had already neared collapse, and the highly advanced intelligent civilization surviving upon it was destined to be buried alongside it.
