"By the way, you're a member of the merchant association. There's something I want to ask you."
"Lord Romon, please speak."
"Regarding the general amnesty after the Demon Calamity ends, I assume you've already heard the news. Miss Kaxiuna, how certain is this?" Romon considered for a moment before asking.
This was the news he most needed to verify right now.
"I've heard of it as well. Every Demon Calamity throughout history has had such an amnesty. It is the only comprehensive one, effective throughout the entire continent!" Miss Kaxiuna looked at him, understanding what was on his mind, and said leisurely, "As long as it does not involve the grave crime of blasphemy, one can be pardoned!"
Seeing Romon's indifferent expression, she had no choice but to continue. "However, the specifics will only count once the news is announced. Before then, nothing is certain. Oh, and unless you have explicitly received a pardon order, I suggest you do not return early. Others may seize upon that as leverage, and the consequences would be hard to predict."
"Yes, I understand." Romon spoke calmly.
"I'm currently staying at the largest inn in the city. If anything comes up, you can come find me. Here is the address." After talking a while longer, and judging that the time had come, Kaxiuna rose and handed Romon something resembling a calling card.
Romon took it and examined it closely. A faint fragrance still lingered on it, refreshing his heart and clearing his mind.
"That will be all. If you need our help with anything, come find me at this address." Kaxiuna said as she walked out of the private room.
"Miss Kaxiuna." Romon called after her.
"What is it?"
"Send a message for me. Send letters of thanks to all of them except the
