That had never been a bustling area, but ever since the Adventurers' Guild was built, the street had become alive with traffic.

Those coming and going were either adventurers submitting tasks or browsing for them, or people who had come to post tasks.

Few other shops lined the street leading to the Adventurers' Guild. Instead, adventurer restaurants, adventurer taverns, and adventurer supply shops were doing roaring business.

This was where adventurers gathered in the greatest numbers. Naturally, selling things these people needed made for good business.

Today, a fine rain had been falling without end.

It had been more than half a month since summer began, and this was the second rain.

Yet it was nothing like the first downpour, which had come down in a hearty rush. This rain was slight, more like autumn rain. Though it did not bring much water, it added a touch of coolness to the city that had baked beneath scorching heat for days.

The rain was not heavy, and there were no fewer pedestrians on the streets. Some held umbrellas overhead, while others hurried along at a jog.

More people rode in carriages, listening to the rain from within comfortable, dry spaces.

Quite a few carriages were already parked outside the Adventurers' Guild's entrance. The drivers made their living through hard labor. Adventurers were too lazy to walk on rainy days, so business was rather good for them instead.

At around nine in the morning, another carriage approached at an unhurried pace from the other end of the road. Near the Adventurers' Guild entrance, it turned skillfully and pulled into the carriage shed beside it. Once it had come to a stop, the curtain was lifted, and Romon stepped down.
