When Your "Girlfriend" Gets Angry

Shisui Uchiha...

Kakashi's feelings were somewhat complicated. The two had almost never crossed paths before, yet because of his butterfly effect, they had now met.

If he formed a bond with Shisui Uchiha, then if the future continued according to his memories, could he really stand by and watch as Shisui had his eye taken and then took his own life?

What a headache.

The ANBU was close to the Hokage's Office. Before long, Kakashi arrived at the entrance to the ANBU.

"What was coming couldn't be avoided."

Kakashi sighed a Ki-filled sigh, entered the ANBU, and headed toward his squad's room.

As expected, the moment he entered, Kakashi saw the young man.

He had the button nose rarely seen among the Uchiha Clan, wore black clothing bearing the Uchiha Clan crest, and carried a short sword on his back.

Of course, his most striking feature was still those Kurenai eyes.

The young man also saw Kakashi and smiled faintly. "Hello, Lord Kakashi. I'm Shisui Uchiha, your new squad member."

Shisui Uchiha spoke very gently, just like his personality. Even in battle, he rarely harmed others.

Kakashi stared at Shisui Uchiha for a long while, unable to snap out of it.

I understand all that, but why do you look so much like my grandniece, Mirai Sarutobi?

"Hello, Shisui. I've heard much about you." Kakashi nodded at Shisui Uchiha.

Shisui Uchiha humbly replied, "Haha, not at all. Compared to mine, your title of 'Silver Lightning' is far more famous."

"As ANBU shinobi, having too much Ki isn't necessarily a good thing." Kakashi smiled bitterly.

"Haha, Lord Kakashi is right. In any case, I'm very happy to meet you."

Shisui Uchiha had a very good impression of Kakashi. "I often heard Itachi mention you. Thank you for taking care of him."

"Speaking of Itachi... your transfer came rather suddenly. He probably doesn't know you've been assigned to our squad yet, does he?"

Kakashi checked the time. "Itachi is on duty in the main hall right now. His shift should end soon. How about we go over together and tell him the good news?"

"Sure!"

Shisui Uchiha's eyes lit up. He could already imagine the surprise on his little brother's face when he saw him.

Kakashi himself had not noticed that their Ki auras were actually quite compatible. With Itachi as their link, the relationship between the two quickly warmed.

The two arrived at the ANBU main hall just as Itachi Uchiha got off duty. He looked at them in surprise.

"Lord Kakashi, Brother Shisui, why are you together?"

Kakashi stepped forward, patted Itachi on the shoulder, and said with a smile, "Haha, Itachi, let me tell you some good news. Shisui will be part of our squad from now on."

Itachi Uchiha was a little surprised, but even happier.

He had grown up with Shisui since childhood. The two were both close friends and rivals, sharing a relationship as intimate as Guy and Kakashi's.

"Shisui just joined today, so there won't be any missions. How about the three of us go out for a walk?" Kakashi suggested.

Shisui Uchiha hesitated. "But Lord Kakashi, if we aren't at the ANBU and an emergency mission comes up, I'm afraid we might not make it in time."

"Don't worry. We'll be quite free for a while. There are more important matters that need our attention."

Kakashi gave Shisui Uchiha a meaningful look. Shisui's heart tightened, as though he understood something.

"If that's the case, then let's go out and relax together," Shisui said.

Itachi Uchiha was still young at this point and did not quite understand Kakashi's final remark, but he knew Brother Shisui would explain it to him later.

The three wandered aimlessly through the streets, each greedily breathing in the Ki outside the ANBU.

Though their names were terrifying enough to make children cry at night in other ninja villages, the three of them were actually very gentle people. Otherwise, they would not have gotten along so harmoniously.

The ANBU was truly too stifling. If they had a choice, all three of them might only have wanted to live out their lives in peace.

"How about we go to that dango shop from last time and have some dango? We can find a place to rest our feet," Kakashi said.

Shisui Uchiha teased, "Dango? Isn't that something only children like? I didn't expect Lord Kakashi to have such a childlike side. Hahahaha."

At the side, Itachi Uchiha's young face secretly flushed with Kurenai, though he still felt a small sense of anticipation.

Ever since following Kakashi, he had a perfectly legitimate excuse to eat dango every few days.

Buying something for little Naruto and Sasuke, having an extra meal at night, wanting a snack... things like that.

The three chatted and laughed as they arrived at the dango shop, then sat down inside to wait for the owner to prepare the dango.

"Kakashi, you!" A grief-stricken voice rang out.

"Ah..." Kakashi turned his head and saw a familiar figure clad in a green jumpsuit.

"Guy, why are you here?"

"Ha, why am I here? Why can't I be here?"

Guy's face had turned Kurenai-red. "Last time, I invited you to eat dango, and you told me you didn't like sweets. But now you're eating dango with other people."

"Do you dislike dango, or do you just dislike being with me?"

Kakashi's head began to ache. "Guy, calm down first. Listen to my explanation."

"I won't listen, I won't listen. Hmph!"

Guy crossed his arms and turned his head aside.

Itachi Uchiha and Shisui Uchiha sat nearby, desperately holding back their laughter.

The two had both received professional training. Generally, they would not laugh unless they truly could not hold it in.

But what was with this damned feeling of catching a cheating lover?

Why did they want to laugh so badly?

After much coaxing, Kakashi finally persuaded Guy to sit down inside the shop. Damn it, you might not be embarrassed, but I am. So many people outside are watching. What the hell is this supposed to be?

Kakashi smiled awkwardly at the amused Itachi and Shisui, introducing them. "This is my very, very, very best friend—Might Guy."

"Guy, these two are my subordinates and friends, Itachi Uchiha and Shisui Uchiha."

"Hmph!"

Upon hearing Kakashi call him his best friend, Guy felt a little better and took the initiative to greet the two.

"Hello. Just call me Guy. Since you're Kakashi's friends, you're my friends too."

"Nice to meet you. Just call me Shisui."

"I'm Itachi. Please take care of me."

Kakashi smiled placatingly as he handed a skewer of dango to Guy. "Guy, stop being Ki."

"Hmph!"

Guy reached out and took the dango, but showed no appreciation whatsoever, still keeping his head turned away.

"How about this? The three of us don't have any missions today either. After we finish eating, let's go to the training ground for a clash of youth. What do you say?"

Left with no choice, Kakashi brought out his ultimate weapon against Guy.
