When a "Girlfriend" Got Angry

Shisui Uchiha...

Kakashi felt somewhat conflicted. The two of them had hardly crossed paths before, yet now they had met because of the butterfly effect he had caused.

If he formed a bond with Shisui Uchiha, then if the future unfolded according to his memories, could he still stand by and watch Shisui have his eyes gouged out before taking his own life?

What a headache.

The Hokage's Office was close to the ANBU headquarters, and it did not take Kakashi long to reach the entrance.

"What was coming couldn't be avoided."

Kakashi sighed, entered ANBU, and headed toward his squad's room.

Sure enough, the moment he walked in, Kakashi saw the young man.

He had the round nose rarely seen among the Uchiha Clan, wore black clothes bearing the Uchiha Clan crest, and carried a short sword on his back.

Of course, his most striking feature was still those crimson eyes.

The young man saw Kakashi as well and smiled faintly. "Hello, Lord Kakashi. I'm Shisui Uchiha, your new squad member."

Shisui Uchiha spoke very gently, just like his personality. Even in battle, he rarely harmed others.

Kakashi stared at Shisui Uchiha for a long time without coming back to his senses.

I understand all that, but why do you look so much like my grandniece, Mirai Sarutobi?

"Hello, Shisui. I've heard much about you." Kakashi nodded at Shisui Uchiha.

Shisui Uchiha humbly replied, "Haha, not at all. Compared to me, your title of 'Silver Lightning' is far more renowned."

"As ANBU shinobi, having too much fame isn't necessarily a good thing." Kakashi smiled wryly.

"Haha, Lord Kakashi is right. In any case, I'm happy to meet you."

Shisui Uchiha had a very good impression of Kakashi. "I often heard Itachi mention you. Thank you for taking care of him."

"Speaking of Itachi... your transfer happened suddenly, so he probably doesn't know you've been assigned to our squad yet."

Kakashi checked the time. "Itachi is on duty in the main hall right now, and his shift should be ending soon. How about we go over and tell him the good news together?"

"Sure!"

Shisui Uchiha's eyes lit up. He could already imagine the surprised look on his little brother's face when he saw him.

Kakashi himself had not noticed that the two of them were actually very compatible. With Itachi as their connection, their relationship quickly warmed.

When they arrived at the ANBU main hall, Itachi Uchiha had just gotten off duty and looked at them in surprise.

"Lord Kakashi, Brother Shisui, why are you two together?"

Kakashi stepped forward and patted Itachi on the shoulder, saying with a smile, "Haha, Itachi, I have good news for you. Shisui will be part of our squad from now on."

Itachi Uchiha was a little surprised, but he was even happier.

He had grown up with Shisui since childhood. The two were both close friends and rivals, with a relationship as close as Guy and Kakashi's.

"Shisui just joined today, so there won't be any missions. How about the three of us go out for a walk?" Kakashi suggested.

Shisui Uchiha questioned, "But Lord Kakashi, if we leave ANBU and an emergency mission comes up, I'm afraid we might not make it back in time."

"Don't worry. We'll be quite free for a while. There are more important matters for us to worry about."

Kakashi gave Shisui Uchiha a meaningful look. Shisui's heart tightened, as though he understood something.

"In that case, let's go out and relax together," Shisui said.

Itachi Uchiha was still young at this point and did not quite understand Kakashi's final remark, but he knew Brother Shisui would explain it to him later.

The three of them wandered aimlessly down the streets, all greedily breathing in the air outside ANBU.

Though their names were terrifying enough to make children cry at night in other shinobi villages, all three of them were actually gentle people. Otherwise, they would not have gotten along so harmoniously.

ANBU was truly too oppressive. If they had a choice, all three of them might have only wanted to live out their lives peacefully and uneventfully.

"How about we go to that dango shop from last time and have some dango? We can rest our feet there," Kakashi said.

Shisui Uchiha teased, "Dango? Isn't that something only children like to eat? I didn't expect Lord Kakashi to have such a childlike side, hahahaha."

At the side, Itachi Uchiha's tender face secretly reddened, though he still felt a small flicker of anticipation.

Ever since he started following Kakashi, he had a perfectly legitimate reason to eat dango every few days.

Buying something for Little Naruto and Sasuke, having an extra meal at night, craving a snack... things like that.

The three chatted and laughed as they reached the dango shop, then sat down inside to wait for the owner to prepare the dango.

"Kakashi, you!" A grief-stricken voice rang out.

"Ah, this..." Kakashi turned his head and saw a familiar figure in a green jumpsuit.

"Guy, why are you here?"

"Ha, why am I here? Why can't I be here?"

Guy's face had turned red. "Last time, I invited you out for dango, and you told me you didn't like sweets. Yet here you are, eating dango with other people."

"Is it that you don't like dango, or that you don't like being with me?"

Kakashi's head began to ache. "Guy, calm down first. Listen to my explanation."

"I won't listen, I won't listen! Hmph!"

Guy crossed his arms and turned his head away.

Itachi Uchiha and Shisui Uchiha sat to the side, desperately holding back their laughter.

Both of them had received professional training. Normally, they would not laugh unless they could not help it.

But what was with this damned feeling of catching someone cheating?

Why did they want to laugh so badly?

After much coaxing, Kakashi finally got Guy to sit down in the shop. Damn it, maybe you don't mind embarrassing yourself, but I do! So many people are watching outside—what the hell is this supposed to be?

Kakashi awkwardly smiled at the amused Itachi and Shisui, then introduced him. "This is my best, best, best friend—Might Guy."

"Guy, these two are my subordinates and friends, Itachi Uchiha and Shisui Uchiha."

"Hmph!"

Hearing Kakashi call him his best friend, Guy finally felt a little better and took the initiative to greet the two of them.

"Hello. Just call me Guy. Since you're Kakashi's friends, you're my friends too."

"Nice to meet you. Just call me Shisui."

"I'm Itachi. Please take care of me."

Kakashi smiled ingratiatingly as he handed Guy a skewer of dango. "Guy, don't be mad anymore."

"Hmph!"

Guy reached out and accepted the dango, but showed no appreciation whatsoever, still keeping his head turned away.

"How about this? The three of us don't have any missions today either. After we finish eating, let's go to the training ground for a battle of youth. What do you say?"

Left with no other choice, Kakashi brought out his ultimate weapon against Guy.
