Background

Ming Qiuxue is the youngest son of Duke Ming He. Before Yu Tu took office, he was the Blue River System’s youngest commander and was expected to achieve major military accomplishments. His father’s treason implicated him, leading to three years in Blue Star Prison before his transfer to Calamity Planet as Second Warden. 46

As Second Warden, Ming was originally assigned to interrogate and guard Yu Tu in Second Prison. Lu Mi secretly altered the transfer route, however, diverting Yu Tu to First Prison instead. 5 37

Ming initially remained loyal to Emperor Lan Xiao despite the Ming Family’s persecution. That loyalty ended when he was shown a final recording of his imprisoned parents taking their own lives; he immediately rejected imperial authority and declared rebellion. 44 46

Appearance

Ming Qiuxue is a tall, strikingly beautiful man with long golden hair and golden eyes. His Second Warden uniform is entirely white, creating a cold, snowfield-like impression. 4 17

Personality

Ming is proud, cold-faced, and accustomed to having his authority obeyed. On arriving at First Prison, he dismisses its procedures and attempts to retrieve Yu Tu himself, only stopping when Lu Mi reveals their past relationship. 4 5

He is politically alert and deeply suspicious of manipulation. Yu Tu’s abrupt treason conviction, missing memories, and connection to Lan Xiao lead Ming to suspect a larger scheme; he remains cautious even after accepting Lu Mi as a covert partner. 17 18

Although he can be ruthless, Ming is disturbed by Yu Tu’s torture and attempts to end the interrogation once it becomes lethal. Tian Chi’s threats against Ming’s parents force him to withdraw. 39 Their deaths ultimately turn his restraint into open, violent defiance. 46 47

Dispute over Yu Tu’s custody

Ming arrives at First Prison to claim Yu Tu under his official Second Prison transfer order. Lu Mi blocks him, demonstrates the Dark Whip’s power, and identifies Yu Tu as his ex-boyfriend; Ming accepts the explanation and withdraws. 4 5

F Plan alliance

Ming’s suspicion that Yu Tu may be part of Lan Xiao’s scheme is weakened when Lu Mi reveals Yu Tu’s missing memories, custom shackles, and permanently removed Diamond-Rank Energy Crystal. Ming agrees to bring Lu Mi into the secret F Plan, though neither warden trusts Yu Tu enough to inform him. 17 18

To hide their partnership, Ming and Lu Mi stage a brutal fight: Lu Mi whips Ming’s face, while Ming uses the Longevity Lock to leave convincing injuries on Lu Mi’s neck and wrists. 18

Emergency interrogation and suspension

Using a valid order from Deputy Director Tian, Ming removes Yu Tu from First Prison for emergency interrogation while Lu Mi is absent. He confines Yu Tu in solitary cell 09 and postpones questioning to deny Qi An immediate control. 35 37

Ming initially conducts the interrogation, but objects when Tian and Qi An escalate it into extreme electric torture to force Yu Tu to reveal his vines. Tian threatens Ming’s parents, compelling him to leave the room. 38 39

The authorities suspend Ming for failing to stop Yu Tu’s torture and place him in a Third Prison cell under the guise of temporary residence. He secretly prepares to activate Plan F through Golden Eye. 43 44

F Annihilation Plan

Imperial forces arrive to return Ming to Blue Star. After receiving proof that his parents have died by suicide, Ming breaks his restraints, Beastifies, and openly declares rebellion. 46 47

He revises the original freedom-focused F Plan into the F Annihilation Plan, ordering Second Prison and the Ming Family Army to fight. 47 During the ensuing battle, Ming uses the Longevity Lock to engage Zeng Yun and Qi An at once, retaining the upper hand until the Prison Directorate and Imperial Army intervene. 48 49
