While Princess Vina was still savoring the experience, the camp had already entered a state of high alert.
The soldiers dealt with the Soul Beast corpses slain by the petals, cutting away the edible portions.
After all, Soul Beast meat was an extremely luxurious tonic.
Under normal circumstances, if they wanted to hunt so many Soul Beasts, they would likely have to pay a considerable price.
Being able to pick up such a bargain this time was purely accidental. Who would have expected to encounter a healing-type Titled Douluo in such a desolate wilderness?
Before long, led by two generals, Su Mu was arranged to stay in an independent military tent. He did not return to Heaven Dou City until dusk the following day.
After bringing Su Mu to the so-called storefront, Princess Vina hurriedly left.
Su Mu surveyed the luxurious shop. Though it was not large, it occupied a prime location at the very center of the Heaven Dou Empire's commercial district.
It was a small ground-floor shop, separated from its surroundings by glass partitions, with a small outdoor seating area in front.
The entire place was exceptionally clean. Clearly, after being purchased, it had never changed hands or been altered in any way.
There were many shops around it, nearly all packed to capacity. It was rare for such an empty storefront to become available.
This shop had also fallen into Su Mu's lap as a bargain.
Given the situation in this commercial district, no matter how rich one was, without sufficient strength and connections, they could not even secure the qualifications to operate here.
Let alone open a shop here.
But the renovation was now another problem. He could not possibly handle it alone. It seemed he would have to ask his friends at the Outer City's Modification Factory for help.
Without further hesitation, Su Mu stopped a horse carriage by the roadside and headed toward the Modification Factory in the Outer City.
Before the sky darkened, he plunged straight into the Modification Factory in the Old City.
The Modification Factory had taken on an entirely new appearance. Materials were neatly stacked everywhere.
Old James sat at a round table by the entrance, drinking coffee and occasionally taking a puff from his cigarette.
"Yo, little boss, you're here."
"Didn't we finish modifying the food cart not long ago? Are you getting another one modified already?"
Old James stood up familiarly, and quite a few decorators and modification workers inside looked over as well.
Su Mu shook his head and looked at the piled-up materials. There was corkwood, steel reinforcement bars, and all kinds of other supplies, all wrapped in waterproof tarps.
It was clear that the Modification Factory treasured these rare construction materials.
There would definitely be no problem leaving the renovation work to them.
As Su Mu spoke, he looked inside but did not see Saifeier. He continued, "Old James, I've made a little money recently, and I'm planning to open a shop in Heaven Dou City."
"It's just that I don't know how to renovate the place. Do you know anything about that?"
"Mm!"
Old James immediately rubbed his hands together and said with a grin, "No problem!"
"Since it's your shop we're renovating, we'll use the least amount of the best materials to create the finest results. It'll blow that KFC away by eighteen blocks!"
As Old James spoke, he called to the people around him and had them start moving materials.
Su Mu was rather surprised. As expected of Heaven Dou City's top Modification Factory—their boasting was enormous, as though they could modify anything.
Old James waved his hand. "It's nothing."
"If you ask me, that's all because of Boss Saifeier."
"Although she hired me later on, before I arrived, none of her brothers were useless."
"For example, Monkey. What he's best at is building ships. Any vessel only needs a single look from him for him to understand its general structure."
"And Monkey is incredibly good in the water, so everyone calls him Water Monkey."
Hearing Old James mention him, Monkey scratched his head and greeted Su Mu.
Then Old James pointed at two other people.
"As for those two, they're Chang Wei and Lai Fu."
"One used to be a carpenter, the other a blacksmith. Forging iron, working wood, making furniture—they're all good at it."
"When all is said and done, I only know a bit more about Soul Tools and machinery."
"Although I'm only a low-level Soul Engineer, merely Rank Three, within Heaven Dou City, it's already quite good to find a Soul Engineer like me—free, unrestrained by any family, and powerful."
"We'll make sure you're satisfied this time!"
As Old James spoke, a truckload of high-quality-looking materials was loaded up.
Old James then jumped into the driver's seat, pushed the lever in his hand, and the entire vehicle began to move.
"This thing... can this vehicle even enter the city?"
Su Mu grinned. The automobile before him looked like it had been picked out of a garbage heap.
Monkey and the others had already climbed onto the materials on the roof, leaving only Big Yellow behind to guard the place.
Yet despite its battered appearance, the vehicle moved remarkably quickly.
Su Mu hurriedly boarded the horse carriage he had hired on the way over and chased after them, only overtaking them as they neared the city gate.
When the vehicle passed through the checkpoint, the guards looked as if they had seen a ghost and quickly let it through.
Old James burst into laughter at the sight.
Soon, led by Su Mu, everyone arrived at the shop in Heaven Dou City.
Old James immediately took a liking to the glass above, repeatedly knocking on it.
"This kind of glass can withstand ordinary long-range offensive Soul Tools. It can even block weaker projectiles."
"Where did you find this shop? Using this material to decorate a storefront is really too wasteful."
As Old James spoke, he looked as though he wanted to pull out the sledgehammer on his back, smash off a piece, and take it with him.
But then he turned his attention to the layout of the entire shop.
The storefront was not large, but the interior was exceptionally neat, roughly rectangular with plenty of depth. A kitchen could be built inside, while plenty of tables could be placed outside.
Before long, they got to work.
Seeing Old James begin construction, Su Mu stepped outside and strolled down the street.
Fortunately, he had learned his lesson this time. Elysia and Cyrene were currently studying a detailed map of Heaven Dou City in his mind, marked with street names that could guide him.
Otherwise, he might have gotten lost again like last time.
As he walked, Su Mu sensed the Soul Power within his body. He was at the peak of Level Seventeen, only three levels away from reaching Level Twenty Soul Power and successfully absorbing his second Soul Ring at the age of six.
He currently had more than three thousand Gold Soul Coins available to use.
If he exchanged them for Hextech, he could probably get two chances at Golden Hextech's five-choose-three selection.
However, the improvement he had received from purchasing the Hextech five-choose-three last time had not been particularly outstanding.
Su Mu considered that if the shop could be successfully renovated and opened, perhaps he could leave it to Remiel or Elysia to manage.
Then he could focus on cultivating his Soul Power. Or perhaps he could add a Soul Ring to his ordinary black bow Martial Soul in advance, allowing himself to improve faster and get through the dangerous early stage sooner.
After all, once the shop opened, Gold Soul Coins would flow in endlessly every day.
Then he could keep nearly all of his employees permanently stationed off-site,
And begin the next phase of his plan: opening branches across the entire Douluo Continent!
