Background
Su Mu is a transmigrator who grew up in Pheasant Village outside Heaven Dou City. His father was once a successful hunter, but disappeared three years before Su Mu’s Martial Soul awakening, leaving behind a hunting bow and a little over ten Gold Soul Coins. Su Mu associates the disappearance with the jealousy his family’s former wealth attracted from surrounding villagers. 1
Impoverished and close to starvation, Su Mu receives Wallace’s Selected Hextech while attempting to fry sprouted potatoes. The system ties its rewards to food sales: it provides ingredients, while Gold Soul Coins earned through sales can be spent on Hextech draws and system functions. 1
He uses a free Prismatic selection to establish his foundation, choosing Studying Abroad, Mainstream Recruitment, Hidden Hand, and Passive Income. These rewards give him extra Martial Soul potential, three powerful employees, a conditional full-health revival, and a chance to gain an extra level on breakthrough. 1
At his awakening ceremony, Su Mu conceals both his twin Martial Souls and Innate Full Soul Power, publicly claiming to have only an ordinary Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul with poor talent. He initially plans to use his abilities to improve food and build a livelihood rather than pursue conventional academy education. 3
Appearance
Su Mu is a six-year-old boy whose poverty is initially reflected in his faded, repeatedly washed clothing. When preparing for danger, he wears a fitted black outfit and carries a black bow with iron arrows. 18
- Usually dressed plainly due to his early financial hardship. 3
- Uses a black outfit, bow, and arrows when leaving Heaven Dou City with Jiang Nannan’s group. 18
- His Life Blue Silver Emperor manifests as vigorous Blue Silver Grass marked by dense golden patterns. 12
Personality
Su Mu is highly practical and financially driven. He treats food sales as the foundation of both his survival and cultivation, routinely calculating ingredient costs, earnings, equipment investments, and the value of each Hextech selection. 8 32 34
He is also secretive and cautious. Despite possessing powerful employees and unusual Martial Souls, he repeatedly hides his capabilities to avoid attracting dangerous attention. 3 10 11 His independence extends to rejecting Elder Zhuang’s offer to become a personal disciple, as he does not want institutional obligations to interfere with his business or Hextech growth. 31
Although often sarcastic and self-interested, Su Mu intervenes when others are in danger. He stabilizes Jiang Nannan’s mother despite lacking enough strength to cure her fully, saves Princess Vina from a carotid wound, and heals injured soldiers during the military-camp attack. 17 25 39
Abilities & Skills
Life Blue Silver Emperor
Su Mu’s maternal Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul received the Ultimate Attribute of Life and evolved into the Life Blue Silver Emperor upon awakening. 3
- Produces unusually potent life energy capable of healing injuries and replenishing vitality. 12 17
- Heals Tang Ya’s hidden injuries and restores long-term physical deficiencies in Jiang Nannan. 12 15
- Can stabilize Jiang Nannan’s mother against an extreme cold-and-water Soul Power poison, but Su Mu initially lacks the Soul Power to remove the corruption completely. 17
- Its life energy strengthens Su Mu’s body and contributes to his rapid cultivation. 35
Blue Silver Vine Ring
Su Mu’s first soul skill binds a target with Blue Silver Grass and converts Soul Power into restorative life force. 15
- Forms a bracelet-like vine ring around an ally and continuously restores vitality. 15 16
- Remains active after Su Mu withdraws his Martial Soul, allowing him to support allies from a safer distance. 16
- Can repair injuries, bodily damage, and deficiencies caused by poor nutrition or prolonged cultivation. 15
- Lasts roughly one to two hours; it withers faster as its stored life force is consumed and drains the wearer’s Soul Power while active. 16
Rule Book / Experience Book
Su Mu’s paternal Martial Soul possesses the Ultimate Attribute of Rule. It originally manifests Text Decree, then reveals the self-created skill Illustration after he gains his first Soul Ring. 3 22
Text Decree
Text Decree allows Su Mu to write enhancement or recovery effects on paper, then attach the page to a target or object. The page eventually burns away and returns to the Book Martial Soul as a blank sheet. 3 22
| Effect tested at Level 15 | Maximum documented enhancement |
|---|---|
| Speed | 58% 22 |
| Attack | 31% 22 |
| Spiritual power | 26% 22 |
| Elemental attributes | Approximately 10% 22 |
| Light, darkness, evil, and similar special attributes | Approximately 5% 22 |
| Cultivation speed | 11.6% 22 |
- Strong personal buffs generally consume about one-third of Su Mu’s total Soul Power. 22
- A cultivation-speed decree lasts one hour, while Soul Power recovery during cultivation allows him to renew it repeatedly. 22
- He develops a separate decree granting an additional 20% of final cultivation gains for one hour; because it affects the result rather than cultivation speed itself, it can stack with his other cultivation buffs. 42
- He uses low-cost noncombat decrees to double food digestion efficiency and halve customers’ fullness, increasing fried-chicken sales for only 5% of his Soul Power. 30
Illustration
Illustration materializes drawings into physical objects. Quality depends on Su Mu’s drawing accuracy and the Soul Power invested. 22
- Successfully creates a tangible hamburger, though its early texture is crude and its ingredients resemble wood shavings and mush. 22
- May reproduce an object’s properties more accurately as Su Mu’s drawing skill and Soul Power improve. 22
- Recorded illustrations can create memory-like simulated spaces. Removing the Blue Silver Grass illustration sends Su Mu into a Star Dou Great Forest scenario, where death returns him to reality. 21 46
- In the Blue Silver Grass instance, he can assume Tang Ya’s form and use her Martial Soul and Soul Rings to study Blue Silver Entanglement and practice dangerous techniques. 46
Learning Behavior and Practice Makes Perfect
Su Mu’s inherited passive abilities allow him to improve through observation and repeated practice. 13
- Watching Tang Ya use Blue Silver Entanglement inspires him to produce ordinary Blue Silver Grass from the ground, though his first imitation is weak and incomplete. 13
- Repeatedly practicing in the Illustration memory instance improves his control, speed, poison, and compatibility with Blue Silver Grass. 46
- He uses simulated deaths to train a crude form of Ring Explosion, increasing his survival time after detonating a Soul Ring from three seconds to four. 46
- The technique remains unsafe in reality; the simulated Soul Ring’s energy ruptures his meridians and kills him within the memory instance. 46
Iron Bow
The Iron Bow is Su Mu’s long-range assault-type Martial Soul, awakened through Golden Hextech’s Studying Abroad reward. 32
- Expands his options beyond healing and support-oriented Martial Souls. 32
- Su Mu also possesses practical experience with a physical hunting bow inherited from his father. 1 18
Hextech Augments
- Hidden Hand — When Su Mu’s health reaches zero, he may choose to restore himself to full health once. 1
- Passive Income — Each level-up has a 10% chance to grant an additional level; it raises him from Level 14 to Level 15 after his first Soul Ring absorption. 1 15
- Delayed Returns — Ten golden cards allow him, in ten battles, to gain 40% additional damage when his Soul Power falls below 50%. 32
- Mainstream Recruitment — Summons employees who possess independent consciousness but obey Su Mu’s orders: Remiel Dan at Level 30, Elysia at Level 60, and Cyrene & Demiurge at Level 90. 1
- Employee Promotion — Randomly promotes Elysia from Level 60 to Level 90, making her a Titled Douluo-level protector. 32
Wallace’s Selected Hextech System
The system provides food ingredients and uses business earnings as the currency for further upgrades and draws. 1
- A Prismatic four-of-seven selection costs 6,800 Gold Soul Coins in sales; Golden five-of-three costs 1,600; Silver costs 600. 1
- Gifted or otherwise obtained Gold Soul Coins do not directly count as system earnings; Su Mu must convert their value through food sales. 33
- Employee overtime or field deployment costs 100 Gold Soul Coins for three hours. 2 40
- The Level-One Wallace license costs 10,000 Gold Soul Coins and is intended to unlock permanent inventory, spectator access, employee recruitment events, and a treasure pool. 34
Equipment / Business Assets
- Hunting bow and iron arrows — Left by Su Mu’s missing father; Su Mu carries and uses them after obtaining his first Soul Ring. 1 18
- Soul Power vehicle and food cart — His bicycle and cart are modified by Old James with a Level One Soul Guidance Formation, creating a scooter-like Soul Power vehicle. 9
- Upgraded mobile food cart — Commissioned with a wider counter, limited skewer-grilling space, and additional tables and chairs. 27
- Gemstone Soul Tool — Recovered during the Princess Vina incident; contains Wallace outfits, suitcases of Gold Soul Coins, a low-grade head soul bone, and a potentially traceable one-million-Gold-Soul-Coin card. 27 28
- Heaven Dou City storefront — A prime central-commercial-district location given to Su Mu by Princess Vina, later renovated into his first permanent branch. 41 42
Relationships
- Su Mu’s father — Missing hunter and Su Mu’s sole parent; left him a hunting bow and modest savings. His support for Jiang Nannan’s Martial Soul awakening shaped her lifelong gratitude. 1 4
- Jiang Nannan — Childhood neighbor and arranged fiancée. She is devoted to Su Mu, helps him obtain his first Soul Ring, and receives the first major healing from Blue Silver Vine Ring. 3 11 15
- Tang Ya — Friend, customer, and Tang Sect leader who repeatedly tries to recruit Su Mu as the sect’s future master. Her Soul Ring hunt helps Su Mu obtain his first Soul Ring. 12 15 23
- Bei Bei — Tang Ya’s partner and a dependable ally. He helps arrange medical care for Jiang Nannan’s mother, guides the Soul Ring hunt, and protects Su Mu during bureaucratic matters. 15 23 31
- Elysia — Summoned employee and later Titled Douluo-level protector. She efficiently operates Su Mu’s business and saves the military camp through overwhelming offensive and healing abilities. 32 40 42
- Remiel Dan — Level-30 summoned employee who serves customers and defends Su Mu’s stall from the Red Fang Gang. 1 10 33
- Cyrene & Demiurge — Level-90 summoned protector. Cyrene defeats powerful pursuers, protects Su Mu during the bounty incident, and remains one of his most concealed trump cards. 1 26 27
- Princess Vina — Princess of the Heaven Dou Empire. Su Mu saves her life, then gains a political connection, military work opportunities, and a storefront through their mutually beneficial relationship. 25 34 41
- Saifeier / Fei’er — Owner of the Modification Factory and Su Mu’s early business ally. She supports his food enterprise and has Old James modify his vehicle and construct his carts. 9 10 27
- Old James — Modification Factory Soul Engineer who upgrades Su Mu’s vehicle, builds his food carts, and renovates his first Heaven Dou branch. 9 27 41
- Gao Huazhishou — Hostile businessman connected to the Gao Family and Red Fang Gang. Su Mu rejects his attempted partnership and later helps Princess Vina investigate his attack on the Modification Factory. 20 43

“Your character is so trashy that even if you sold it by the pound, I still wouldn't want it.” 20
Trivia
- Su Mu originally assumes Jiang Nannan’s dinner invitation is meant to break off their engagement, but her mother instead proposes formally settling the engagement. 3
- He refers to Jiang Nannan as his “eyes” and “brain,” unintentionally leaving her deeply flustered. 11
- Su Mu’s first illustrated hamburger is physically real but has an extremely poor texture. 22
- He regrets refusing to spend ten Silver Soul Coins on a better vehicle only after becoming trapped in a hailstorm while pushing his food cart home. 8
