Morning Star Advancement Method! Spiritual Visualization Method

With the All-Seeing True Eye, Su Ziyu understood the meaning of the words written here better than Su Jingtian did. Clearly, this yellowed ancient book did not seem like one of the books his grandfather had collected.

Yet it did indeed record a method for advancing to Morning Star. Reading through it, one could tell that it was some kind of sacrificial ritual.

By signing a contract, the user could temporarily gain greater power. In return, their spirituality would gradually be drained away, their Mental Body would become corrupted, and they would ultimately turn into a mindless monster!

Clearly, this was the advancement ritual the Old God Cult had given Su Jingtian.

Su Ziyu had little interest in such an evil sacrificial ritual. Leaving aside the deity the ritual invoked and its many side effects, there was a saying: if you don't court death, you won't die.

He set the book aside and glanced at the other two. The red-covered one contained occult knowledge, while the green one recorded herbalism. They were far more profound than anything Su Ziyu had read before, so he planned to keep them and study them thoroughly when he had time.

Then Su Ziyu got to his feet and stretched. Something in Su Jingtian's diary had caught his attention: he seemed not to have found the method his grandfather had left behind for advancing to Morning Star.

"Not in the study either?"

Rubbing his chin, Su Ziyu suddenly thought of something. He left the library and headed to the backyard.

All the servants in the manor had been locked inside the villa by Ruan Xiaoqi, so the place seemed somewhat deserted.

The backyard was planted with precious medicinal herbs, some of which were ingredients needed for black magic rituals. It seemed Su Mingyi's family had long since been thoroughly corrupted.

Walking up to a large banyan tree, Su Ziyu touched the rough bark on its trunk and fell into a daze.

He fetched an entrenching shovel and began digging beneath the banyan tree. Before long, he struck something hard with a dull clang.

Delight flashed across Su Ziyu's face. He hurriedly tossed aside the shovel, bent down, and lifted out something resembling an iron box.

The iron box had a rough surface and looked quite old. A combination lock that required turning numbered dials hung beneath it. After brushing away the dirt, Su Ziyu entered his birthday. With a click, the iron box opened automatically.

"Phew..."

Su Ziyu let out a long breath. His grandfather had buried this box ten years ago while playing a game with him, saying that when he was no longer around, there would be some gifts prepared for him inside—but he could only open it after his grandfather was gone...

When Su Ziyu had left the family, he had considered taking the box with him. But he had been fleeing for his life then and had never come back to dig it up. After all these years, he was still the only one in the family who knew this secret, so he was not worried that anyone would discover it.

Seeing that Su Jingtian had turned his grandfather's study upside down without finding a way to advance to Morning Star, Su Ziyu guessed that his grandfather had most likely hidden it in this little box.

Gently stroking the lock and the box, Su Ziyu recalled his grandfather standing in the yard and playing games with him—teaching him to read and write, helping him identify herbs. The sunlight had shone down just like this back then, so comfortably that one did not want to move. The air was full of the scent of memories.

Su Ziyu felt his eyes grow slightly moist. After steadying himself, he looked inside.

Inside the box was a white notebook.

A smiling old man's face was drawn on the cover. Su Ziyu felt a faint sting in his nose, but he held it back. Opening to the first page, he saw several large red words:

"Spiritual Visualization Method!

Su Ziyu was immediately intrigued and continued reading.

Human Beyonders drew energy from nature. Most people could gain supernatural abilities and enter the Awakening level, but Morning Star, which lay beyond Awakening, required the Spiritual Visualization Method!

The Spiritual Visualization Method had been passed down from the Reign of Chaos in the Third Epoch. One needed to find an object to observe, allowing one's spirituality to illuminate the Visualization Diagram within one's heart. Reconstructing the first Visualization Diagram was the key to entering Morning Star. The major factions possessed different Visualization Diagrams. For example, the three major orthodox churches each had their own: the Holy Mother Tree of the Church of Nature, the Darknight Sage of the Church of Knowledge, and the Twilight Giant of the War God Church!

The choice of Visualization Diagram was extremely important, as it concerned future cultivation and the abilities one might gain.

Gently wiping away the tears at the corners of his eyes, Su Ziyu returned to the villa. When Ruan Xiaoqi saw him come in, she immediately jumped down from her chair and followed closely behind him.
