After two days of rest, Huo Hai had returned to peak condition. His Perfect Foundation Establishment gave him a recovery speed far beyond ordinary people. Even after losing so much blood, he had needed only two days to recuperate.

Huo Hai sent out a large number of Star Gu to watch the entire area. Only then did he sit down quietly and prepare to break through to the Spirit Practitioner Realm. Absorbing and fusing with a Source Spirit Stone and a Source Spirit Treasure required careful consideration. Different methods of fusion led down different paths, and whichever he fused with first would usually become his greatest strength.

To cultivate as a Battle Spirit Master, he would first have to fuse the Source Spirit Stone with his body. Its power would then spread outward into his spiritual power or his Source Spirit Treasure, finally reaching his mind and soul. This was the usual order for a Battle Spirit Master.

With that order of fusion, a Spirit Master's body would gain the greatest potential for growth. That was the foundation of a Battle Spirit Master. To Huo Hai, choosing an order of fusion felt a little like choosing a class in a game.

But the real world was not a game. Even Battle Spirit Masters could cast spells. Their Mental Power was too weak to control those spells well, though, and the results were poor. Casting spells would be a thankless task for them: they would waste enormous amounts of spiritual power for little effect.

Likewise, Spell Spirit Masters, Elixir Spirit Masters, and the others would not make close combat their main approach. That would mean pitting their own weakness against an opponent's strength. This was the real reason Spirit Masters followed different paths.
