Imperial City Academy

Today's third update. Little Star wished everyone a reunited family and a life of happiness and fulfillment.

At the mention of Contribution Points, Huo Hai looked at Ji Mu in confusion. He had never heard of such a thing before. Ji Mu rolled her eyes and said in a low voice, "Not many people actually know about it, because ordinary people have no use for it."

Since she was planning to join Imperial City Academy, Ji Mu had looked into some matters. Perhaps Huo Kai had forgotten, but he had never mentioned it to Huo Hai. As Ji Mu explained, Huo Hai gradually came to understand what Academy Contribution was.

Academy Contribution was something one received only by helping the Academy or completing tasks assigned by it. It was not currency, but a symbol of one's standing within the Academy. Academy Points could be traded freely, but Academy Contribution could not. Each person could only earn their own.

Academy Contribution was divided into two parts. One part was accumulated contribution. Any contribution one had ever made would be added up. Once it reached a certain level, one would obtain a corresponding status. Access to some important places in the Academy required a certain amount of Academy Contribution.

The other part was the portion used like currency. Some special items within the Academy required a large amount of Academy Points, along with a certain amount of Academy Contribution, to purchase.

In other words, sometimes having Points but no Contribution meant one could not enter certain special places. At other times, one might have status but have spent all their Contribution, making certain things impossible to buy. This was one way the Academy kept its students from acting blindly. At the same time, it was a means of strengthening their sense of
