Influence and Authority
The Falling Star Sect is regarded as a colossal power compared with Starfall City’s great families. Even the status of an outer disciple makes local lineages wary, while Lin Yichen’s promotion to inner disciple immediately changes Qin Tiande’s view of his marriage proposal. The Heavenly Dragon Empire itself treats the sect with considerable caution. 6
Its authority is not unlimited. General Xing Zhan asserts that the sect cannot act lawlessly within Starfall City, which remains under Heavenly Dragon Empire jurisdiction. 40

History
Lin Yichen reveals his status as an inner disciple while proposing marriage to Qin Yuexi. The announcement shocks Starfall City’s leading families and causes Qin Tiande to immediately approve the proposal, viewing the connection to the sect as an opportunity for the Qin Family. 6
In Starfall Forest, four outer disciples join Ximen Lian in attempting to seize Ye Ruxue’s Thunderclap Beast. Ye denounces them as sect-backed bullies. Tang Tian intervenes, and he and Ye Ruxue kill all four disciples. 16 18 19
Lin Yichen later fights Tang Tian in a public life-and-death duel. Despite using the Falling Star Sword Technique and an Azure Leaf Sword, Lin is defeated and killed. His master, Weng Yuan, attempts to intervene primarily to preserve the sect’s reputation rather than save Lin’s life. 37 40
Weng Yuan’s retaliation is stopped by Xing Zhan, who wounds and drives him from Starfall City. The sect subsequently avoids escalating the incident, judging that further action could cost it more than the single inner disciple already lost. 41
Zhang Kairong later visits the Tang Family and presents Tang Tian with two choices: join the sect as an inner disciple, or survive a half-month hunt in Starfall Forest. Tang Tian rejects recruitment, arguing that the sect is using his family as leverage. 47
