"You killed him!!!"
Sakaros spoke in an even tone, his voice carrying a trace of hoarseness yet without the slightest ripple. It was not a question, but more like a statement of an ordinary fact.
Er Dongsheng continuously raised his guard inwardly, yet he still looked as lazy as ever on the surface. With his current strength, he believed he could fight even a Second-Level Demon. And if he could not win, he could always run! Who could stop him?
"Of course. Any demon who provoked me went straight to meet God. Why should he have been an exception?" Er Dongsheng did not fear this so-called Flame Dominator. Lowering his head and speaking humbly was not the style of a martial artist like him!
When words failed, blades were drawn; blood splashed five paces away, and it would not end until one side died—that was who he was! That was the style of a true martial artist. Think of those martial artists from his former life, their backs bent beneath social rules and all the worldly entanglements. They were only martial men, unworthy of being called martial artists who steadfastly upheld the Martial Dao Will from beginning to end!
Sakaros's eyes narrowed! He gave this First-Level Demon, who made him feel threatened, a deep look. The greed and desire to devour in his heart grew even fiercer. It was unbelievable—he was only a First-Level Demon, yet he was already so powerful and possessed something Sakaros craved so desperately...
As he thought of it, his tongue involuntarily licked his lips. The blazing desire to devour was already close to swallowing his reason whole!
Wait a little longer, wait a little longer. It is not yet time to act! This demon may be inferior to me in ability, but he cannot be underestimated. Those old fellows in the camp are eagerly waiting for me to make a mistake! If I am injured...
Forcibly suppressing the boiling desire in his heart, Sakaros lowered his head slightly, not allowing Er Dongsheng to see the towering desire flashing in his eyes!
"Then, did you know that the troll Sula was my subordinate?" With his head lowered, Sakaros spoke evenly, his voice growing even hoarser, as if he were desperately holding something back!
Every movement Sakaros made was clearly reflected in Er Dongsheng's eyes. His tenacious greed, his incomparably intense desire to devour—they were all plainly seen by him! Toward creatures hostile to themselves, martial artists would often devote their full effort to observing and understanding them, seeking to seize the initiative in battle and defeat the enemy!
"I didn't know." Er Dongsheng spread his hands indifferently!
What did it matter whether he knew or not? He was not afraid of Sakaros! Both sides harbored an intense desire to devour the other. Sooner or later, it would be either his death or mine—why should Er Dongsheng give him face!
He had even seen the Demon Lord himself. Though it had only been a phantom, it was still not something a mere Second-Level Demon like Sakaros could compare to. And he believed the final victory would definitely be his!
"If there's a fly buzzing around in front of you nonstop, what's wrong with swatting it dead?" Er Dongsheng casually shot back.
"I imagine even Lord Sakaros would be unable to resist doing that!"
Since the face had already been torn off, what harm was there in rubbing some salt into the wound!
Blame yourself for failing to recognize the times and pushing your luck! Even if you are a Second-Level Demon, I will not give you face!
The air gradually froze. The surrounding demons wisely pulled far away, clearing a large space for these two powerful demons!
Though they were far away, whether demons or Abyssal Species, their hearing was astonishingly sharp! Looking at their expressions now, Er Dongsheng's fierce retort had not given Lord Sakaros even a shred of face! Every one of them looked as if they had seen a ghost, terrified beyond measure!
The Abyssal Fairy Xierjie, hiding far away, had her mouth open wide enough to fit an egg inside—if eggs actually existed in this world!
"Pervert, what a pervert! Doesn't he know that's the lord? The Flame Dominator! The uncrowned king of this vast forest!" Xierjie no longer knew what to say. She could only be speechless, utterly speechless!
With the Greater Demons nowhere to be found, Second-Level Demons were the strongest beings around! Especially Sakaros, the Flame Dominator, who was a Peak Second-Level Demon!
"You dare provoke him! Are you courting death?" Countless onlooking demons screamed in their hearts!
Damn it! A trace of humiliation and fury flashed through Sakaros's eyes! How long had it been since any demon dared speak to him like this? Damn it! He truly deserved to die ten thousand deaths!
Huff!!
He took a deep breath and forcibly restrained the urge to strike. Now truly was not the time to act. A small intolerance would ruin great plans! There would be plenty of chances later to let this fellow taste his methods! The Flame Dominator was not a title he bore for nothing!
It could be said that those in the Abyss who became Abyss Demons, especially Second-Level Demons, were all incomparably cunning beings!
These demons had endured decades, even centuries, wading through countless mountains of corpses and seas of blood before finally becoming Second-Level Demons. Besides the necessary talent, their temperament, abilities, life experience, and every other aspect were all first-rate!
Though demons were relatively impulsive beings, and even after remaining in the Abyss for hundreds or thousands of years, their minds could not compare with a few decades in human society, much less the cunning of those old human foxes, there was no denying that every successful demon was not to be taken lightly!
How did that saying in the Abyss go? There were no demons in the Abyss who were careless and impulsive by nature. Even if there were, they had long since died! Take that fool of a troll, Sula, for example. He had been completely used by Xierjie and died without ever knowing why! Even if Er Dongsheng had not killed him this time, he would still have died upon encountering a stronger demon later!
A First-Level Demon could spend endless time, wearing down and consuming the essence of Abyssal Species to advance. But to rise to a Second-Level Demon, time, luck, ability, knowledge, temperament, and much more were all indispensable!
"Then he truly deserves to die!" Raising his head, Sakaros fixed his scarlet eyes tightly on the lazy-looking Er Dongsheng opposite him!
"Xierjie, entertain this powerful demon well! Make sure this lord is pleased. If anything happens, you will be responsible!" With a snort, Sakaros flicked the cloak behind him with one arm, turned, and left!
"Yes, my lord. Your subordinate will definitely complete the task!"
"Hell! That guy actually just left?" Xierjie stared blankly at Sakaros vanishing at the end of the street!
"Where's the fight? Where's the fight? Shouldn't the two of them be going at each other? How did it end like this? Did the lord back down?" The surrounding Abyssal Species and demons, Xierjie included, all stood dumbfounded. Where was the promised battle!
Grass Mud Horses and River Crabs really were the most unreliable things!
"Let's go. Head to your people's territory and deal with this fellow quickly!" Er Dongsheng looked at the still-dazed Abyssal Fairy and kindly patted the full breasts rising from her chest, reminding her.
"You!!!!"
"What are you staring for? Hurry up and go!" Amid Xierjie's embarrassed fury and the ghost-struck expressions of the surrounding demons, Er Dongsheng dragged Sula's corpse farther and farther away, slowly disappearing at the end of the street...
I believe we will meet again very soon, insect!
I believe that in the end, you will die at the hands of this insect!
