What Is Loneliness

The seas turned to fields, and the years changed.

Countless lives were born from the long river of time, only to vanish at its end.

After that human left, Regigigas lived alone in that empty world for a very, very long time.

From sunrise to sunset, the barren earth gradually sprouted flowers, grass, and trees.

When it had nothing to do, it would squat beside a young sapling and watch it grow bit by bit, until it became a towering tree.

All things began to revive, and the land took on a harmonious scene of thriving vitality.

Later still, creatures known as "humans" began to appear.

When it saw them, Regigigas could not help but think of that tiny life that had chirped away on its body and sheltered from the wind and rain.

So, it began trying to approach these humans and help them survive on this land.

In order to help them, Regigigas created giant Pokémon like itself.

But at first, the humans were constantly afraid of their arrival. When they saw them helping, however, they treated Regigigas as a friendly god.

Among those humans, Regigigas never again encountered anyone like that human from long ago.

At that time, Regigigas recalled something the other party had said when they parted:

"Get some Rest. When you wake up, you'll be able to see me."

So, it chose to sleep.

It entered a temple built by humans and waited in its deepest chamber for the future to arrive.

It had been a long time.

So long that Regigigas could no longer remember when it had cut itself off from the outside world and fallen into slumber.

Now, when Regigigas saw that familiar face again, it froze where it stood.
