Volume Seven, "Traveler," at 132,000 words, had finally come to an end.

This volume could be considered a wrap-up volume. All the mysteries had been revealed, former companions had been reunited with, and the protagonist traveled everywhere like a traveler, encountering Pokémon wherever he went. (Though that was all in the past.)

Still, everything that needed resolving had been resolved, all the plot threads laid before had been tied up, Dark Lugia had been explicitly named, and everyone would have a bright, wonderful future.

The remaining celebration of reunion + New Year + a new future would be written in the next volume. The next volume would be called "Teacher," which could be considered a return to my original intentions!

Honestly, having written Pokémon fanfiction for this long, I personally wasn't very fond of casually catching Pokémon or immediately throwing a ball at a rare Pokémon and taking it home.

Like something I wrote before: "Sometimes, the meaning of an encounter is greater than that of catching one."

Maybe I was a rather rigid, stiff author. Sometimes, I really envied those stories that tossed memes around effortlessly and stayed cheerful from beginning to end.

But unfortunately, I simply couldn't do that, so this book had barely featured any popular memes from start to finish. It ended up feeling stiff and rigid, sob sob sob.

Actually, there was still a lot I wanted to say, but if I said it now, there would be nothing left to say when it ended.

So, there were around thirty chapters left.

I'd save the rest for the final thoughts when the story ended!
