The biker's corruption field continued to spread beneath his feet. The asphalt track seemed to be devoured by some invisible force, turning into a pitch-black mire. The metal railings in the stands twisted out of shape, plastic seats melted, and even the air began to grow murky, as though it too had been contaminated by the power of decay.
Chen Tian stood where he was, the smile at his lips growing increasingly wild. His eyes had completely changed—his once ordinary pupils had become the radiant Heavenly Eye, his irises like a liquid starry sky, profound and cold, as though they could see through every law of the world.
The biker paused slightly. His pitch-black eyes stared fixedly at Chen Tian as a low growl emerged from his throat. "Your eyes... changed?"
Chen Tian did not answer. He merely slowly raised his right hand, curling his ring finger and pinky, extending his thumb and index finger, while his middle finger bent behind his index finger.
"Domain Expansion—"
Chen Tian's voice became ethereal, as though it came from the depths of the cosmos. The biker's instincts screamed warnings. He abruptly retreated, trying to escape Chen Tian's range, but it was already too late.
"Unlimited Void."
Bzzzz.
The entire world seemed to have had its pause button pressed.
The biker's movements froze. His thoughts, senses, even time itself, were infinitely stretched out at that moment. In his field of vision, Chen Tian vanished, replaced by an endless white void.
"What is this...?" His consciousness struggled, but it was as though his brain had been stuffed with infinite information. Every second was broken down into countless moments, and each moment poured endless chaotic information into his mind—
Who am I?
Where am I?
Why can't I move?
His soul seemed to have been cast into the end of the universe. All his cognition, memories, and senses were crushed, reconstructed, crushed again, and reconstructed again. His body was clearly still standing in place, but his consciousness had already gone through hundreds of millions of cycles of thought.
Tony's suit thrusters blasted out blazing white exhaust. He rolled sideways, barely avoiding Ivan's claws. Crimson Hellfire burned across the black Devil Armor, and every swing left warped scorch marks in the air.
"JARVIS! That bastard's claws are corrosive!" Tony fired a repulsor blast, but Ivan merely grinned viciously and took the hit head-on. The Hellfire on the armor's surface instantly swallowed the energy blast, even twisting the explosion's aftershock into bizarre fireballs.
"Sir, the outer nanocoating of the armor has sustained a 47% loss rate. Recommend creating distance and waiting for the core energy to recover—"
"I'd love to!" Tony gritted his teeth and sharply pulled back, but Ivan was faster. The mechanical bone wings behind the Devil Armor suddenly spread open, spewing out a sulfur-colored dense fog that instantly blocked Tony's vision.
"Cough—damn it!" Tony's HUD flashed frantically. The suit's sensors were being disrupted by the sulfur gas, leaving everything before him blurred. He could only barely dodge using JARVIS's emergency warnings, but Ivan's assault grew increasingly savage. Every claw strike carried the searing heat of Hellfire, and the armor's shell had begun to show signs of melting.
Tony's breathing grew heavy inside his helmet as sweat trickled down his temples. He stared at the damage warnings constantly flashing red across his HUD, a savage curve pulling at his lips.
"JARVIS! Unlock the Mark-Eclipse energy restraints!" Tony clenched his teeth. "I'm going to let Ivan know I've only been playing around with him!"
"Mark-Eclipse restrictions unlocked. Mark-Eclipse Light Angel module can now be activated." JARVIS's voice answered Tony, adding, "Have a pleasant demon-slaying experience, Sir."
A wild smile suddenly spread across Tony's face, his eyes gleaming with excitement beneath the helmet.
"JARVIS, what did you just say?" He deliberately dragged out his words, as though savoring the drama of the moment. "Have a pleasant demon-slaying experience?"
The next second, his laughter exploded, carrying a hint of madness and arrogance—
"Hahaha! Ivan! Let me show you—what a real 'angel descent' looks like!"
Along with his utterly over-the-top declaration, the Arc Reactor in his chest suddenly erupted with dazzling blue light!
Bzzzz—!
A blue torrent of energy surged from the core like a living thing, instantly covering his entire body! The originally gold-and-red armor rapidly broke apart and reassembled beneath the wash of blue light. Nanometal flowed like liquid as the armor's structure was reshaped within the radiance!
Clack! Clack! Clack!
Every inch of the armor was evolving—
The once rounded shoulder plates split open, transforming into sharp wing-like structures, their edges flowing with blue-white energy blades!
The chest armor became more streamlined, the central energy core wrapped in blue light like an angel's sacred mark!
The leg armor extended into sleek propulsion wings, while the nozzles beneath his feet widened and blue flames burst forth!
The back armor unfolded, six enormous energy wings spreading like feathers. Each one was made of pure blue energy, its edges sparkling with particle effects!
Mark-Eclipse Light Angel—activated!
Tony hovered in midair, his brand-new blue, white, and black armor gleaming brilliantly beneath the sunlight. The light wings behind him slowly flapped, scattering countless motes of light. The lines of his helmet had become sharper, and the arc screens over his eyes shone with a deep azure glow, as though a true mechanical angel had descended upon the world!
"Sir, energy output has increased to 400%. Light Angel Mode activated." JARVIS continued, "Based on your combat habits, I recommend playing AC/DC's 'Thunderstruck' as background music."
Tony grinned, excitement flashing in his eyes beneath the helmet. "Ha! JARVIS, you really get me!" He suddenly raised an arm, and the charging sound of his repulsor cannon perfectly synchronized with the electric guitar intro abruptly exploding through his headphones—
"Then let's get this party—started!!!"
The next second, the engines went full throttle!
Blue-white exhaust erupted amid the savage rhythm of "Thunderstruck." Like a god of war blessed by the god of rock, Tony dove toward Ivan with deafening waves of sound.
Everywhere he passed, the sonic booms tearing through the air blended with the stirring chorus, and the entire battlefield instantly became his stage!
Boom!!!
Blue-white exhaust carved a blinding trail through the air as Tony's speed suddenly exploded, leaving him almost as nothing more than an afterimage! Before Ivan's Devil Armor could react, Iron Man's fist had already smashed brutally into his faceplate!
Crack!
The Devil Armor's helmet instantly caved in. The Hellfire was scattered by the violent impact, and Ivan was blasted hundreds of meters away, smashing viciously into the ruins of the stands!
"Awesome!" Tony laughed wildly as the six light wings behind him burst open, blue-white energy particles scattering like stardust. At some point, he had already drawn two blazing laser swords—blades formed from pure high-energy plasma, their edges flashing with blinding blue light that scorched the air into warped ripples!
"Sir, combat data synchronization complete." JARVIS's voice remained clear amid the roar of rock music. "Your reaction speed has increased by 427%, strength output by 398%, energy weapon efficiency—"
"Skip the nonsense, JARVIS!" Tony dived sharply, his laser swords trailing two dazzling streaks of blue light behind him. "Now it's—execution time!"
Ivan had just climbed out of the rubble, the infernal energy around him not yet condensed, when Tony flashed before him!
Slash! Slash! Slash!
The laser swords became a web of death, cutting dozens of cracks across Ivan's Devil Armor in an instant! Hellfire surged frantically, trying to repair the damage, but Tony's attack speed was too fast—every strike hit precisely at the armor's joints, energy nodes, and even the paths through which the Hellfire flowed!
"Roar—!!!" Ivan erupted in fury, and the mechanical bone wings behind him suddenly spread as sulfurous fog burst forth like a tsunami!
But this time—Tony did not even dodge!
"Purification Protocol activated!"
The six light wings suddenly bloomed with blinding blue radiance. Energy particles swept forth like a storm, and the sulfur fog evaporated completely the moment it came into contact with them! Tony burst through the haze, crossing his laser swords as he slashed down—
Slice!
Ivan's right arm, along with half a mechanical bone wing, was severed at the root! The black demonic metal melted beneath the high heat, while the Hellfire recoiled with a shriek like a wounded beast!
"What's wrong? Giving up already?" Tony's wild laughter echoed across the battlefield as he spun and delivered a savage kick, his armored boot slamming heavily into Ivan's chest!
Bang—!!!
The Devil Armor's chest plate shattered. Ivan flew backward like a cannonball, crashing through three concrete walls in a row before barely coming to a stop!
Tony hovered in the air, his light wings spread wide, laser swords pointing diagonally at the ground. His eyes beneath the faceplate locked onto Ivan, blue light cold and majestic as a god's.
"Final strike, Ivan." His voice carried through the roar of the rock music. "Welcome to—heaven's punishment from the scientific side!"
The six light wings suddenly folded inward, all energy converging upon the core in his chest! Tony crossed his twin swords before his chest, and the plasma glow surged to its limit—
"Supernova—Slash!!!"
A blue-white energy torrent over ten meters in diameter erupted with a roar! Wherever it passed, the ground ruptured, the air ionized, and even space itself seemed to be split apart by that slash!
Ivan's pupils contracted as Hellfire surged madly in an attempt to defend—
Boom!!!!
The light of the explosion devoured everything!
Tony hovered amid the explosion's aftershock, the six light wings slowly unfolding as blue-white energy particles flowed around him like fragments of stars. The blazing explosion formed a magnificent curtain of fire behind him, yet could not approach him in the slightest—all incoming shockwaves and scorching heat were elegantly deflected by the energy barrier formed by his light wings.
"Sir, the target's vital signs have disappeared." JARVIS spoke at just the right moment. "Would you like me to bring up the combat data?"
Tony did not answer immediately. He slowly raised his right hand, and the plasma blade of his laser sword spun gracefully once, drawing a perfect blue arc in the air before automatically retracting into his arm armor. The movement was smooth and effortless, as though he were dancing a deadly waltz.
"Data?" Tony chuckled. His helmet automatically disengaged, revealing his signature roguish grin. "That stuff belongs in the lab." He deliberately let the flames from the explosion illuminate the side of his face, making sure the angle was camera-ready.
The light wings behind him suddenly spread to their fullest extent, every one of them bursting with dazzling blue light. Tony deliberately slowed down, letting his armor trace a graceful arc as he descended. The instant he landed, he bent one knee slightly and braced his right hand against the ground, the pose perfectly positioning the final light wing above his head to create a flawless angelic halo effect.
"JARVIS," Tony said as he rose to his feet, casually dusting off nonexistent dirt, "clip the combat footage from 3:27 to 3:35 and upload it to all my social media accounts. Caption it..." He paused, a mischievous smile curling his lips. "'Sunday afternoon tea, saving the world on the side.'"
The six light wings elegantly folded behind him, turning into streams of light that returned to the armor. Tony turned and walked toward the exit, deliberately letting the remaining sparks dance behind him. With every step, the armor's blue glow faded slightly, and by the time he reached the passageway, the armor had returned to its ordinary gold-and-red mode—as though the world-destroying angel form had never existed.
"Oh, right." He suddenly stopped walking and snapped his fingers without looking back. "Turn up the BGM by 30%. Let the whole world hear—"
As his words fell, the guitar solo from "Thunderstruck" suddenly rang through the entire ruin, the perfect music for his curtain call.
But as Tony Stark's best buddy, Chen Tian could not possibly let him keep showing off like that.
Just as Tony struck his perfect closing pose, a blue-violet pillar of light suddenly shot into the sky from the other end of the racetrack!
The light resembled lightning tearing through the heavens, yet it carried a strange sense of stillness. The pillar was over ten meters in diameter, countless tiny runes flowing within it while the space around its edges twisted unnaturally.
"What the—?!" Tony's helmet instantly closed again, energy warnings flashing wildly across his HUD. "JARVIS! What kind of energy reading is this?!"
"Unable to analyze, Sir." JARVIS had a 0.3-second delay. "This energy form exceeds the scope of the database. Recommend immediate evacuation."
The pillar remained for a full three seconds before gradually fading. Once the blinding light receded, the sight of the racetrack was chilling—the asphalt was still covered in blackened corruption marks, the twisted metal railings and melted plastic seats remained in their corroded state, and the rotten stench lingering in the air had not dispersed.
The biker radiating an evil aura, along with his heavy motorcycle, had vanished without a trace, as though he had never existed at all.
Tony stood frozen in place, his mouth beneath the helmet hanging wide enough to fit a donut. He mechanically turned toward Chen Tian, only to see the Eastern young man who usually loved bickering with him strolling over at an unhurried pace.
"Yo, done showing off?" Chen Tian's Heavenly Eye had already returned to its ordinary dark brown. "I took care of that zombie-looking guy for you. No need to thank me."
Tony's faceplate popped open with a click, revealing an incredulous expression. "That guy was obviously here for you! And what the hell was that black-tech move just now?!"
"This..." Chen Tian rubbed his chin and thought for a moment. "My new ability." After saying that, he raised an eyebrow at Tony.
Before Tony could speak, Chen Tian reached out and poked Tony's shoulder. "Hey, show-off, look around."
He jerked his chin toward their surroundings. "Do you want to stay here and wait for those annoying security forces to interrogate us, or should we hurry up and find somewhere to eat?" As he spoke, he rubbed his stomach. "I'm starving."
Tony stared at Chen Tian for a full five seconds, then suddenly burst out laughing. "JARVIS! Cancel all social media upload plans!" He threw an arm around Chen Tian's neck. "Come on! I'm getting you drunk and prying out every secret behind that move!"
Chen Tian grinned as he looked at Tony, mischief gleaming in his eyes. "Bro, I don't mind drinking with you, but..."
He deliberately dragged out his words, leaning closer with a wicked smile. "Remember that party at your villa after the New Mexico battle? A certain playboy genius got drunk and cried while hugging Pepper."
He held up four fingers and waved them in front of Tony's face. "My alcohol tolerance is four times what it was back then. I'm not like some genius inventor who ended up needing JARVIS to call an ambulance." He then made an exaggerated vomiting gesture, imitating Tony's drunken appearance from that time.
As he spoke, Chen Tian jumped onto Tony's back and patted his helmet a few times. "Let's go! Iron steed! Back to the hotel!"
Tony curled his lips, his expression beneath the helmet both helpless and indulgent. "You..." He deliberately let the thrusters blast out a wave of hot air, messing Chen Tian's hair into a wild tangle. "Hold on tight. If you fall, I'm not coming back for you."
With a roar of engines, the armor, now restored to gold and red, shot into the sky. Tony deliberately pulled off a 360-degree flip. Hearing Chen Tian yelp from his back, he smugly curled his lips. "JARVIS, activate navigation. Destination—"
"The Kimpton Hotel has been marked, Sir." JARVIS smoothly continued, "Would you like to pre-order your usual truffle pizza and—"
"Double portions!" Tony cut in, deliberately making a sharp turn in midair. "And get this 'knight' ten shots of the strongest tequila—let's see whether he can still be this cocky later!"
The gold-and-red armor split the clear blue sky, leaving behind a dazzling trail of exhaust beneath the brilliant noon sun.
Tony suddenly dived, the armor almost skimming the sea surface. The waves kicked up by the thrusters refracted diamond-like light beneath the sun.
"Hey! You're definitely doing this on purpose!" Chen Tian clamped his arms tightly around Tony's neck, his voice torn apart and broken by the howling wind.
"Was that ever in doubt?" Tony laughed and accelerated again, the armor carving a long white wake across the sea. "Welcome to the Stark Air Express!"
Their laughter and insults rang especially clearly through the cloudless blue sky. Down on the track, the red and blue lights of police cars remained conspicuous beneath the noon sun, like a swarm of busy beetles.
Meanwhile, the gold-and-red armor high in the sky resembled a comet streaking across the heavens, racing toward the hotel amid the roar of its engines.
The sea breeze rushed against them, carrying salty moisture, while sunlight coated the armor in a flowing golden sheen. On yachts in distant Monaco Bay, tourists raised their phones one after another, recording the rare sight—Iron Man carrying his best friend on his back, soaring freely through the azure sky.
The next morning, sunlight spread across the Malibu coastline as Tony's private jet slowly landed on the villa's helipad. Tony and Chen Tian came down the stairs with their arms around each other's shoulders. Both still wore the exhausted expressions of a hangover, yet they continued to tease one another.
"I bet you threw up three times last night." Tony rubbed his temples, his eyes narrowed beneath his gold-rimmed sunglasses. "JARVIS recorded all of it."
Chen Tian rolled his eyes. "Oh, please. Who was hugging the toilet and singing 'Hotel California'?" He deliberately imitated Tony's broken, raspy voice. "Welcome to the Hotel California~"
Pepper, walking behind them, shook her head helplessly. 2B quietly followed beside her, while Happy dragged several suitcases and trudged along at the back, panting heavily.
"Gentlemen," Pepper raised her voice, "your energy is really—"
Her words came to an abrupt halt. Tony and Chen Tian had already pushed open the villa's glass doors, and their laughter suddenly froze in the air.
Before the living room's floor-to-ceiling windows stood a tall black silhouette in silence. The man wore a turtleneck beneath a black leather trench coat, his shiny bald head reflecting the morning light. His hands were clasped behind his back, and he stood like a statue.
Tony's sunglasses slipped down to the tip of his nose. "What the—"
The moment Chen Tian saw Nick Fury's signature show-off pose, he slapped his forehead. "Again?" he muttered quietly. "This bald guy strikes this pose every time he shows up. What's so interesting outside that window?"
Fury slowly turned around. His single eye swept over the two of them before settling on Tony. "Stark." His voice was low. "Do you know how much trouble you caused in Monaco?"
Tony raised an eyebrow and pushed his sunglasses back into place. "Oh? What trouble?" He shrugged casually. "We were obviously saving the world—while also making the F1 race more entertaining."
"Entertaining?" Fury's single eye narrowed dangerously. "You destroyed half the track, forcing the race to be canceled. The Monaco government is putting pressure on the United States." He took a step forward. "Not to mention all those terrified spectators and—"
"Wait," Tony suddenly interrupted, turning to Chen Tian. "Who is this guy? You know him?"
Chen Tian rolled his eyes. "Nick Fury, director of S.H.I.E.L.D. He was the one who approved my cooperation with S.H.I.E.L.D. in New Mexico. He's also the most pretentious bald man in the world." He deliberately raised his voice. "And just so you know, he can hear you."
Nick Fury's single eye twitched slightly. Without expression, he pulled out a tablet, quickly swiped across it several times, then turned the screen toward them.
"While you two were busy 'saving the world,'" Fury said, suppressing his anger, "this KH-13 spy satellite, worth 1.2 billion dollars, was destroyed by an unknown energy pulse."
The screen displayed the final image transmitted by the satellite—a blue-violet pillar of light shooting into the sky, followed immediately by static.
Tony leaned closer to the screen, his eyes widening behind his gold-rimmed sunglasses. "Wow, such clear picture quality... wait, isn't this Chen Tian's ultimate move?" He abruptly turned toward Chen Tian. "You blasted a U.S. military satellite out of the sky?!"
Chen Tian scratched his head, looking completely innocent. "Well... I was aiming at that zombie biker guy. Who knew there was a peeping tom in the sky?" He glanced at Fury. "Besides, isn't destroying a satellite that spies on people's privacy doing the public a service?"
Fury's single eye narrowed dangerously. "A public service?" he said through gritted teeth. "That satellite monitored one-third of the world's missile silos! Those old men at the Pentagon are losing their minds right now!"
Tony suddenly snorted with laughter. "Wait, you mean..." He struggled to hold back his laughter. "Chen Tian casually used one skill and instantly destroyed the U.S. military's most advanced spy satellite?" He turned toward Chen Tian and gave him a thumbs-up. "Nicely done!"
"Stark!" Fury's voice rose into a high pitch. "This is not a joke! The President has already—"
"What about the President?" Chen Tian lazily cut him off. "Want me to pay compensation?" He slowly pulled a crumpled checkbook from Tony's pocket. "1.2 billion, right? I'll write you a check right now."
Fury's expression froze. Tony, meanwhile, collapsed onto the sofa laughing. "Hahaha... Chen Tian, you're incredible... hahaha..."
Then his smile suddenly stiffened. He snatched the checkbook from Chen Tian's hand. "Damn it! That's my checkbook!"
