Kong Xuan is Yuanfeng’s daughter, conceived from Yuanfeng’s origin essence. Although raised by the Phoenix Clan at Undying Volcano, she is not a true phoenix: her innate path is rooted in the Primordial Five Elements and the Five-Colored Divine Light, making the clan’s phoenix inheritances unsuitable for her. 79 80

Wanting to explore the Primordial World independently, she secretly left Undying Volcano. A dispute over the Scarlet Flame Pearl led a gray-robed Taiyi Golden Immortal and two allies to pursue her for more than a century. She evaded them, seized the pursuer’s Mystic Light Ruler with her divine light, and eventually encountered Qing Xuan and Qing Yi. 75 76 79

Appearance

Kong Xuan appears as a young girl, most often dressed in fiery-red robes or multicolored feathered robes. Her innate Five Elements manifest as five-colored rosy light, and she is noted for her bright phoenix-like eyes. 80 82 87

Personality

Kong Xuan is clever, bold, and openly opportunistic. After Qing Xuan and Qing Yi save her, she immediately offers to guide them to Undying Volcano—partly to repay them, but also because returning with powerful “guests” would make it harder for Yuanfeng to punish her for running away. 76

She is mischievous and loves freedom, but she is not thoughtless. She accepts Qing Xuan’s rule that she must obtain permission before leaving Purple Star, later patiently consolidates her Taiyi cultivation before traveling, and carefully plans her route home. 80 88 89

Kong Xuan is deeply responsive to recognition from her masters. Qing Xuan’s praise, his gift of the World-Cleansing White Lotus, and Qing Yi’s approval all visibly please her. She is also filial toward Yuanfeng, selecting gentle fire-aspected fruits during her visit to Phoenix Perch Mountain specifically to bring back to her mother. 81 87 90

Flight from Undying Volcano

Kong Xuan is introduced while fleeing a Taiyi Golden Immortal who sought to take the Scarlet Flame Pearl and reclaim the Mystic Light Ruler she had seized. Qing Xuan defeats the pursuer, while Qing Yi heals Kong Xuan’s injury. 75 76

She joins Qing Xuan and Qing Yi on their journey toward Undying Volcano, guides them through altered formations and a hidden fire vein, and begins imitating Qing Xuan’s techniques. His advice to unify her five elemental origins becomes her first meaningful cultivation guidance. 76

Return to the Phoenix Clan

At Undying Volcano, Kong Xuan reunites with Chi Ling and Yuanfeng amid Eastern King’s attempt to obtain the Earthly Flame Light Flag. She witnesses Qing Xuan suppress Eastern King and six Great Luo allies with a single palm, deepening her admiration for him. 77 78

Kong Xuan asks Yuanfeng to make her acceptance as Qing Xuan’s disciple part of the negotiations. She candidly admits that Qing Xuan’s strength and protection are major reasons for her choice. 79 80

Disciple of Purple Star

After formally completing the three bows of discipleship, Kong Xuan leaves Undying Volcano with Qing Xuan and Qing Yi. Qing Xuan grants her the World-Cleansing White Lotus, while Qing Yi supplements it with Three Lights Divine Water and other cultivation resources. 80 81

She trains on Purple Star, learns precision through the Five-Needle Pine exercise, and enters seclusion after Qing Xuan sets Taiyi as the minimum realm required for independent travel. 82

Taiyi Breakthrough and Independent Travel

Kong Xuan reaches Taiyi, consolidates her cultivation, and receives Qing Xuan’s permission to leave Purple Star. Qing Xuan and Qing Yi accompany her to Phoenix Perch Mountain, but require her to continue from there toward Undying Volcano on her own. 88 89

At Phoenix Perch Mountain, she explores Nuwa’s spirit-fruit orchard, harvests only ripe fruits with controlled divine light, and selects fire-aspected fruits as gifts for Yuanfeng before preparing to return home. 90
