Arc 4The Uchiha Clan Split
Uchiha Chuan used the backlash against Uchiha Tieyue and the Police Force’s troubles to transfer authority over six divisions and rally the Uchiha Moderates behind him. The clan split, while Tieyue plotted to awaken his Mangekyō Sharingan and Chuan drew Kushina and Minato into his film.
- Hatake Sakumo returned to Konoha to cheers, but Uchiha Tieyue accused him of abandoning his mission, and villagers attacked Sakumo until the Third Hokage intervened.
- As resentment toward the Uchiha grew and the Police Force withdrew from duty, Uchiha Chuan welcomed Kakashi and Obito and helped Fugaku propose opening the Force to other clans.
- Uchiha Chuan began filming Uchiha Naruto Chronicle, while Fugaku negotiated the transfer of six Police Force divisions to other clans for fees.
- The Third Hokage tried to stop the transfer, but Fugaku and the clan heads completed their agreement, leaving the Third Hokage suspicious and excluded.
- Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura persuaded Uchiha Tieyue to cooperate against Chuan, and Tieyue rallied the Hardliners to challenge Fugaku’s authority.
- Uchiha Chuan revealed Tieyue’s meetings with the advisors, made the clan choose between Tieyue and himself, and won the support of Fugaku, the elders, the Moderates, and some Hardliners.
- Uchiha Tieyue left with his remaining supporters, who made up about thirty percent of the clan, and planned to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan as the Third Hokage’s advisers continued investigating Chuan.
- Kushina demanded that Uchiha Chuan teach her the Loudspeaker Technique, and accepted his offer to use it if she and Minato acted in his movie.
