Just as Werther was getting into the swing of slaughtering them, the Velociraptors around him suddenly began to retreat.
"Scared already? And you call yourselves dinosaurs." Werther watched them back away, disappointed that the fight was ending so soon.
But he soon realized he might have misjudged them. The dinosaurs were not afraid of him. They were all looking in the same direction, making strange cries as though communicating.
Then the Velociraptors fled, just as the Diplodocus had earlier. They were in a hurry, but their formation held together.
Werther found it odd. Had an even stronger animal appeared?
Then he heard hissing and the clatter of shells.
Werther looked closely and felt a little sick. Insects were appearing all around him, packed densely together.
There were all kinds of them, from hard-shelled insects to soft-bodied ones. He had no idea how they managed to coexist, but they shared one trait: their colors were strikingly bright.
In nature, brightly colored insects were often highly venomous. Werther was certain every insect before him was poisonous—deadly poisonous.
"Tuski, Anita, get over here."
Hearing him, Tuski steered Tibbers to Werther's side.
Anita had gone pale at the sight of the insects. She crossed her arms and rubbed her shoulders.
Once Tuski brought Tibbers close, Werther expanded his Electromagnetic Barrier until it enclosed all of them.
He gathered a great deal of Lightning at his index finger. From there, it slowly spread along the Electromagnetic Barrier until it reached the edge and stopped.
Before long, Lightning covered the barrier on every side, forming a huge sphere around Werther and Tibbers.
This was a defensive technique Werther had recently developed: Electromagnetic Barrier: Thunder Sphere.
The venomous insects did not give up because of the Thunder Sphere. They kept hurling themselves at Werther's group.
