Werther was puzzled. What exactly had brought the people from the Trade Association to Island?
The strange Indigenous People on Island intrigued him too. Almost every one he had seen was a Zoan Devil Fruit user.
Judging by the Zoan Devil Fruit Encyclopedia he had found earlier on Island, the residents of Island had reached an advanced level of research into Zoan Devil Fruits.
Yet they called the artificial Zoan Fruits developed in the outside world outdated technology. The Indigenous People Werther had met, on the other hand, had struck him as remarkably backward.
Werther was in no hurry to solve it all. Wasn't uncovering mysteries bit by bit part of the fun of an adventure?
He had a feeling that whatever the Trade Association was looking for was Absolute no ordinary thing. It might be immensely valuable.
He was also eager to see Island's research on Zoan Devil Fruits.
The Devil Fruit Encyclopedia alone had helped him complete the Pocket Watch Storage Space. If he obtained all the technology here, it would surely give Werther's strength an Absolute great boost.
So Werther headed deeper into the island. He was certain the Indigenous People here were Absolute not limited to the thousand or so he had killed; they had to be a vast tribe.
Of course, if there were enough of them, whether he could beat them was another question. He could worry about that once he found the Indigenous People's lair.
He had not gone far when he sensed an ominous presence ahead. It made him deeply uncomfortable.
He stopped and waited silently for whoever it was to appear, but he did not stand idle.
First he drew Intent Blood. Then he activated Lightning Mode and pushed his Electromagnetic Barrier to full power.
Werther was not being overly cautious.
