After visiting five tailor shops in a row, Werther had gotten the same answer from every one.
They all wanted to work with the Dragon Hide, but unfortunately, none of them had the skill to cut or process it.
Clinging to one last hope, Werther went to the most famous tailor shop on the Island of Love and Flowers: the House of Fashion.
At the sight of the name, Werther's first instinct was to turn around and leave. But remembering his experience at the Flower Language Bar, he decided to take a look inside.
"Good afternoon, sir. Welcome to the House of Fashion."
A neatly dressed clerk came over to greet him warmly. But when she saw Werther, she froze, then seemed at a loss.
"I have a Dragon Hide I want processed. Go get your boss."
Werther glanced around the shop. Its decor was exceptionally tasteful.
In the world of pirates, where technological development had taken some strange turns, the Island of Love and Flowers looked more like a city from Werther's previous life. He felt an immediate sense of familiarity here.
That was why he had behaved so civilly since arriving on the Island. He had not even taken Laiki's earlier challenge to heart.
Under ordinary circumstances, that reckless woman would either be dead in a filthy ditch or lying in bed by now. There would be no third option.
"O-okay, sir. Please wait a moment."
The young clerk had recognized Werther, but she did not seem particularly awestruck, only a little nervous.
Apparently, the title Dragon-Slaying Swordsman did not impress everyone. Its effect on women, though, was definitely doubled.
What woman did not dream of heroes and princes? And a Dragon-Slaying Swordsman was something that usually existed only in legends.
Before long, the shop's owner came over.
