Kid lay on the ground, gasping hard, his head covered in blood. He tried to struggle to his feet, but his injuries were too severe.
Werther's punches had been meant to kill him. He just hadn't expected Kid to be so tough.

Werther stared at Kid, a wicked idea suddenly taking shape.
Kid froze. He had been certain he was going to die today.
Looking at Kid, who could no longer fight back, Werther thought of a way to make his life worse than death.
A pirate like Kid had long been prepared for the day he lost a battle and died.
And simply letting him die would be far too easy on him.
Werther took out his pocket watch and rummaged through it. Before long, he found a white box.
He carefully opened it. Several Syringes lay neatly inside, filled with a cream-colored liquid that looked oddly comforting.
Kid felt anything but comforted. He had no idea what Werther was about to do to him.

The moment Werther finished the injection, Kid's eyes flew wide.
