Werther watched the battered giant of a man approach. He could clearly tell Jozu was in terrible shape.
Werther had been frozen by Aokiji before. He knew how awful it felt.
"What can you do in that condition? Did you come here to die?"
Jozu did not argue. He had fought Werther before, and a moment's distraction had cost him an ear. He knew Werther's strength. Facing him now, Jozu had never expected to survive.
His worst problem was not the frostbite inside his body. His right arm had lost all feeling.
"I probably can't beat you, but I can hold you off."
Jozu's gaze turned cold as he stared at Werther. This man had killed so many of his brothers.
"Even in that condition, I won't hold back."
With that, Werther drew Intent Blood and activated Lightning Mode.
Werther had always respected people who fought with their lives on the line.
Jozu said nothing more. He focused entirely on Werther, knowing what made him dangerous: his incredible speed and the two sharp swords in his hands.
A flash of blue crossed Jozu's vision, and Werther appeared right in front of him.

Seeing Jozu turn into Diamond, Werther immediately slashed at the arm Jozu had barely been moving. He suspected it might be his opponent's weak point.

What happened when Werther's sword struck surprised even him. Dense cracks spread across Jozu's arm.
With a crash, the arm shattered, scattering chunks across the ground.
One look at the pieces told Werther why his sword had shattered it. Aokiji had frozen the entire arm until the tissue died; even the blood inside it had frozen.
