Werther did not answer Anita's question. He did not really understand what the thing was either.
The Blue Mist hovered in front of Werther for a while. As if sensing that he posed no danger, it drifted a little closer.
Werther gathered a ball of Lightning in his hand and tossed it toward the blue mist.
At the sight of the Lightning, the Blue Mist lunged forward like a dog being fed.
Then, to Werther's astonishment, the Blue Mist absorbed the Lightning he had thrown. The Blue Mist grew a little more distinct.
Looking at the Blue Mist, Werther could not help thinking, Could this be one of those legendary elemental creatures?
He immediately dismissed the absurd idea. This was the world of pirates. How could an elemental creature exist here?
After absorbing his Lightning, the Blue Mist conveyed a sense of goodwill to Werther. It began to change shape, finally forming a pale-blue arrow.
Is it showing me the way?
His Observation Haki sensed no danger from the Blue Mist, so Werther followed the arrow it had formed.
Anita and Tuski followed behind him. They had plenty of questions too, but no one could answer them.
After following the Blue Mist for about half an hour, Werther arrived before two massive trees.
The trees were lush and towering. One glance was enough to sense how ancient they were.
"Hm? Humans! They're actually humans! I'm seeing humans! Hahaha, humans!"
The sudden voice startled Werther. His hand went straight to Intent Blood.
Anita and Tuski ducked behind him in perfect unison.
"Who's there?"
Werther scanned his surroundings but sensed nothing unusual.
"Me! Your eyesight really is terrible. I'm right in front of you."
A face resembling a human's had formed on one of the Ancient Trees before him. It waggled its
