Before long, Werther and the others had climbed Snow Mountain and entered a vast cavern.

The cavern was at least a dozen meters high and dozens of meters wide. It was less a cave than a tunnel.

Tuski guided Tibbers carefully through the tunnel, trying to make as little noise as possible.

Ham looked tense. Werther noticed that the slightest sound made him flinch and scan their surroundings.

"Ham, are we almost there?"

Seeing how nervous Ham was, Werther figured they must be close.

"Ah, no. At our current speed, we still have a long way to go."

Ham had barely finished speaking when Werther's brow twitched. He sensed a huge number of creatures surging toward them from up ahead.

"Tuski, turn back! There are a lot of unknown creatures ahead. They're probably Frost Scorpions."

Tuski understood Werther at once. Before Werther had finished calling out, Tibbers had already turned and started running.

As Tibbers fled, its movements grew less steady, jolting them around.

Werther noticed something worse: the creatures behind them were faster.

"Rustle, rustle..."

Before long, Werther heard the sound of countless armored insects scuttling behind them.

"Tuski, go faster! They're catching up!"

The sound raised goosebumps on Anita's skin. It brought back unpleasant memories of what had happened at the Golden Bull Horn.

What Anita didn't know was that these enemies were far stronger than the cannon fodder they had encountered there.

Soon, transparent scorpions appeared all around Tibbers.

They looked as though they were made of ice crystals, each one like an exquisitely carved ice sculpture. But those beautiful creatures might well kill them all here.
