Werther watched the Warship approach and wondered whom Sengoku had sent to meet him.
Aokiji? Impossible. By now, the man should have left the Marines and become a sleazy drifter.
A veteran Vice Admiral? That was possible, but Werther couldn't guess which one.
When the Warship drew close, Werther recognized the figure at its bow. He hadn't expected Sengoku to send him.
Still, that worked out. In the original story, this was the man who took the children away. Perhaps it was fate.
Before long, the Warship docked, and Smoker led a group of Marines onto Punk Hazard.
"Thunder Swordsman, where are the children? What happened on this Island?"
Smoker couldn't help asking.
"The children will be brought here soon. Don't ask about things that don't concern you."
Werther gave Smoker a cold look and ignored him.
He was certain Sengoku had warned Smoker not to investigate the Island. Smoker's habit of asking questions the moment he arrived irritated him.
Someone who couldn't even read the situation had no business dealing with him.
Smoker seethed. He wanted to search the Island and uncover the evil forces operating there.
But after weighing the consequences, he realized that doing so would likely get him and all his men killed.
Smoker didn't press the matter, which pleased Werther.
"Looks like the New World taught you a thing or two. Wait here. They'll arrive soon."
Werther turned and headed toward the research facility across the snow.
The deep snow crunched beneath his feet.
"Wait."
A clear female voice called from behind him. Every gaze turned toward its owner.
Werther turned too, only to find himself looking at an enormous pair of breasts.
It wasn't that he was leering. They were simply impossible to miss.
When he saw her face, recognition flickered in his eyes.
