Werther lay on the soft bed in his bedroom and touched the Black Ring on his hand with his mind. It had been a long time since he had strengthened his abilities.
Thunder Core (8) (This ability's level can be strengthened with Life Force.) Swordsmanship (16) (A technique-based skill. Cannot be strengthened with Life Force.) Conqueror's Haki (5) (A willpower-based ability. Cannot be strengthened with Life Force.) Armament Haki (17) (This ability's level can be strengthened with Life Force.) Observation Haki (1) (This ability's level can be strengthened with Life Force.) Hand-to-Hand Combat (6) (This ability's level can be strengthened with Life Force.) Speed (17) (This ability's level can be strengthened with Life Force.) Physical Strength (1) (This ability's level can be strengthened with Life Force.) Stored Life Force: 57.
The newly appeared Conqueror's Haki was the first thing Werther noticed.
A willpower-based ability? What did that mean? There was no further explanation, so he could only make his own guesses.
Werther did not complain. He had not been lucky enough to arrive in this world with a system, but through his own strength and luck, he had somehow created one himself.
The system was rudimentary and had no exchange function. It could do only one thing: strengthen him.
Even so, Werther was more than satisfied. Without it, who knew how long it would have taken him to reach his current level?
He might not even have survived the Summit War.
Just as Werther was about to strengthen an ability, he noticed something odd about the panel before him.
He looked more closely.
Hand-to-Hand Combat (6) (This ability's level can be strengthened with Life Force.)
Werther soon spotted it. Hand-to-Hand Combat could now be strengthened too. What did that mean?
