"When are they going to get here? They're taking forever."
Werther leaned back on the sofa, growing impatient.
He was waiting for Kaido's men at the Villa on the King's Plateau. Only he and Monet were there; everyone else had gone to the Ile Factory, where something seemed to have gone wrong.
"Werther, Kaido's men are here. Do you want to take a look?" Sugar's clear voice came from the doorway.
"What are you two doing in here alone? A man and a woman, all by yourselves. Don't tell me you're—"
Sugar looked like a little girl, but she was actually twenty.
"Don't ask questions children shouldn't ask. Come on. Let's see who Kaido sent. They're taking forever. He sent them yesterday, and they're only arriving today."
"I'm not a child! I'm twenty!"
Werther gave Sugar a meaningful look.
"Really? If you got married now, I can't even imagine what that would look like."
With that, Werther ignored the puffed-up Sugar and headed outside.
Leaving the Villa, Werther saw a group approaching the King's Plateau. When he spotted the large man at their head, he was a little disappointed.
It wasn't the man's strength that disappointed Werther. He knew him well: it was Jack, whom Werther had once cut down.
Werther was curious about Kaido's other two All-Stars, but he hadn't gone out of his way to ask about them. The New World was only so big. They would meet sooner or later.
"Since it's you, this will be easier. Leave your men on Dressrosa. The three of us will go after Aokiji."
Jack's eyes lit with the urge to fight when he saw Werther approaching, but he knew he was no match for him now.
