Just when Werther thought the explosions were nearly over, the entire mountaintop shattered. Gold Ore flew in every direction like petals scattered to the wind. Among the flying rocks, Werther spotted some that were gold all the way through—ore with an exceptionally high gold content.
Werther had blown the top off a gold mine no one had been able to excavate, exposing nearly half its total reserves. The Gold Ore scattered across the mountain could yield a staggering amount of refined gold. Wealth like that was enough to drive many people to desperate acts.

Werther felt no temptation as he looked at the gold strewn across the mountain. Money mattered little to him, and the Beli in his Pocket Watch would cover his expenses for a long time.
