A pirate ship sailed slowly into view. Among the many ships arriving, it did not look especially remarkable, but a pirate flag of special significance flew from its highest point.
It belonged to the Red Hair Pirates.
"Red-Haired is here too? What a surprise. I didn't think even he would be drawn in by the gold."
Hearing Werther mutter to himself, Jin Hu wiped down his sniper rifle and said, "Red-Haired is human too. People get greedy. There's nothing surprising about that. But Thunder Swordsman, are you sure you're all right? If you don't treat that wound, you might die."
Werther's chest was a bloody mess. Blood ran down his abdomen and dripped onto the King of the Sky's feathers, soon forming a pool beneath his feet and staining them red.
Werther took out a small medical kit and began treating the wound. After washing it with S Drug, he deftly stitched it shut.
Watching him made Baccarat's teeth ache. The wound was horrifying, and he sewed it up as though it were nothing. Just looking at it hurt, yet he did not so much as change expression. When he finished, he even checked carefully for anything he had missed.
"Um, doesn't it hurt to stitch yourself up like that? You should at least use some anesthetic."
Werther put away the medical kit and suture needle.
"Of course it hurts. Does that mean I have to show it? This much pain is still within what I can bear.
"For now, let's just watch. Jin Hu, if you're interested, you can take a shot at Blackbeard when he fights Red-Haired."
Jin Hu gave an awkward laugh and shook his head.
"I'll pass. Butting into someone else's fight could easily backfire. I'll watch with you. But what happened to this Gold Mine?
