"What a fight! Damn it, get in there, Marco the Phoenix! You almost had Doc Q!"
Sitting on the King of the Sky's back, Jin Hu took a long swig from the bottle Werther had just given him. He watched as though this were some kind of sporting event, muttering nonstop. He couldn't have hidden his chatterbox nature if he tried.
Jin Hu turned to invite Werther to watch with him, only to catch a sickeningly sweet sight.
Werther was kissing Baccarat, his hands roaming over her shapely body.
"Damn. Next time I'm grabbing myself a beauty too. Perks like that on a break? I'm jealous."
Jin Hu took another gulp of wine and went back to gesturing wildly at the battlefield.
"Uh, I was just recharging. What would you know?"
Werther's voice drifted over. After teasing Baccarat a little longer, he joined Jin Hu in watching the fight.
"How's it going? Have the Blackbeard Pirates been wiped out yet? It's been two hours. With Marco the Phoenix helping, they should be finished even without Red-Haired here."
"Not yet. That Doc Q turned out to be a lot stronger than expected. The Red Hair Pirates seem wary of his poison, though it can't be that strong, can it? You recovered in a little over ten minutes."
That caught Werther by surprise. He looked down and saw a broad, sickly green patch across the battlefield. Apart from three core members of the Blackbeard Pirates, everyone in it had succumbed to the poison. The Red Hair Pirates could only surround the three through the poisonous haze.
Doc Q's poison was extremely potent. If Werther hadn't had such strong resistance to poison, along with Tuski's medicine, he wouldn't have dared withstand it head-on.
Yasopp, who had stayed aboard the Red Hair Pirates' ship,
