Gild Tesoro moved to hang up the Den Den Mushi.
"Wait."
Doffy's voice made Gild Tesoro pause, his hand going still.
"What is it?" Gild Tesoro's tone was no longer as polite as before.
"Heh heh heh heh. Helping you is out of the question, but I can put you in touch with Werther. Wait for my news."
With that, Doffy hung up, showing Gild Tesoro no courtesy whatsoever.
"That bastard."
Gild Tesoro tilted his head back toward the ceiling and closed his eyes.
Since his Gold-Gold Fruit had awakened, no one had dared speak to him like that.
"Looks like it didn't go too well. What is wrong with these people? One moment they're talking, and the next they're at each other's throats."
Seeing Gild Tesoro furious gave Carina a rush of satisfaction.
She disliked his cruelty. In fact, Carina disliked anyone who acted cruelly.
