The moment Sugar finished speaking, she tossed aside the bamboo basket in her hand. Translucent grapes scattered across the floor.
"Tontatta Tribe, if Werther hadn't changed our policy toward you back then, you'd still be eating leftovers every day.
"But after we improved your treatment, you still tried to overthrow us.
"Did someone put you up to it? That Kyros is a likely suspect. He's always lurking around the Royal Palace."
Sugar wore a red coat and a red hood. The little bear ears on the hood made her look adorable.
"Come on, everyone! Let's pry Sugar's mouth open by force. She's weak!"
"Capture Sugar! For our freedom!"
A crowd of Tontatta leaped up and charged Sugar head-on, intending to subdue her.
"I hate it when people underestimate me."
Sugar's expression turned cold, and she flexed her small hands.
As the Tontatta surged toward her, her fair-skinned hands suddenly sprang into motion, leaving trails of afterimages.
Crack! Crack! Crack! A rapid series of sharp sounds rang out.
"Little bear toys."
Every Tontatta who rushed her was turned into a tiny toy.
Sugar extended one hand. Her hood had slipped down her back during the flurry of movement, revealing her emerald-green hair.
"Let's make a contract. Obey my orders until you die."
The Tontatta who had become toys answered in unison, then stood beside Sugar, facing their former comrades.
"Huh? Where did all these toys come from? They're so small."
Leo stared ahead in confusion. As the Tontatta's commander, he hadn't joined the charge.
"What were we just doing?"
A Tontatta woman looked at Leo in puzzlement.
Leo shook his head. He didn't know either.
That was the most terrifying part of the Hobby-Hobby Fruit. It did more than erase a stretch of memory: it erased every memory of the people
