Robin collapsed to the ground as a toy.
Sugar paid her no attention and did not make a contract with her, either.
But everyone had already forgotten Robin. Usopp stood there, bewildered, with no idea what had happened.
After a moment's hesitation, Usopp turned to flee.
But when he reached the doorway, he found a large number of fully armed guards waiting outside.
Every guard aimed a weapon at the entrance. The moment Usopp ran out, they would riddle him with bullets.
Terrified, Usopp hurried back to the Hideout.
"Usopp, do you remember me? I'm Robin."
The toy Robin had become came up beside Usopp.
"Robin? Who's Robin?"
Usopp looked at the toy in confusion.
"You're from Syrup Village in the East Blue. You're nineteen, your blood type is S, you like Autumn Sardine, and your birthday is April 1. Your father's name is Yasopp. You like telling lies, and your flaw is that you lie too much.
"I'm your crewmate. Sugar turned me into a toy, so you've forgotten me."
Usopp stared at Robin. He knew that when Sugar turned someone into a toy, every memory of that person vanished. The Tontatta had told him so.
The toy knew his hometown, age, blood type, favorite food, and even his habits. She very likely was one of his crewmates.
No one but his crewmates knew he liked Autumn Sardine.
"Robin, right? I don't remember you, but we must be crewmates. I'll think of something."
His crewmate had been turned into a toy, and the Tontatta were on the verge of defeat. This was the kind of desperate moment when Usopp had to turn the tide.
In the original story, events might have unfolded that way. Unfortunately, this was a real world, and Usopp's luck had run out today.
"Sugar, surrender!"
