Werther flexed his right leg, still aching from the Electromagnetic Cannon, and slowly continued after Dr. Vegapunk.
It wasn't that Werther didn't want to go faster. His entire right leg was numb from using the Electromagnetic Cannon.
After chasing him for some distance, Werther didn't catch up to Dr. Vegapunk. Instead, he unexpectedly came upon Sentomaru.
Sentomaru was in terrible shape. A large hole had opened in his abdomen. Werther's earlier attack had likely sent a piece of the Pacifista flying through the wall, where it had struck the unlucky Sentomaru.
That had only been the aftershock of the Electromagnetic Cannon, but it was still one of Werther's strongest attacks at this stage.
With his arm severed, a great deal of blood drained by Intent Blood, and now a stray projectile lodged in him, Sentomaru could barely stand.
Seeing the state he was in, Werther decided to ignore him and walked straight past.
Sentomaru tried to stop Werther, but his body had reached its Extreme limit. He pitched forward and hit the floor.
Even as he fell, Sentomaru clung tightly to Werther's leg, refusing to let this dangerous Pirate get any closer to Dr. Vegapunk.
