Werther fulfilled his earlier promise and gave the kings the advanced technology.
"My country won't suffer drought anymore! Haha, this is wonderful!"
"These farming techniques will work, even on barren land. This is exactly what I wanted."
"Mr. Werther, I must be going. I can hardly wait to take these techniques back to my country."
The other kings felt the same way. They wanted to take the technology home at once.
"Keep the Den Den Mushi I gave you. If your countries are invaded, I won't stand by and do nothing."
Werther remained seated at the round table. He did not see the kings off; he had other matters to attend to.
"There won't be another war like this."
Werther's sudden remark caught the Donquixote Family members in the Meeting Room off guard.
When Doffy had raised the question of going to war with Kaido the day before, Werther had seen fear in the eyes of the Donquixote Family officers.
In that moment, Werther had realized that other people were different from him. He did not fear war or death, but they did.
"We're not afraid of fi—"
Werther cut Pica off with a wave of his hand.
"It's not your fault."
Everyone fell silent.
"That's the end of it. Don't bring it up again. Now, about Kaido.
Doffy, only the four of us will go after Kaido."
Werther had his own score to settle with Kaido. Number Three had been sent by Anita and would fight for him without question. Golden Lion had volunteered. That left Doffy.
"When do we leave?"
"Now."
"I have no objections. I share responsibility for the situation with Kaido."
Doffy's position was clear: he stood firmly behind Werther.
Without Werther's fighting strength,
