"Here, here, and here are all excellent waters for building Sea Trains. These two islands could also supply each other with what they need."
The dining table had been cleared, and a nautical chart was spread across it.
The chart covered the Four Seas, the Grand Line, and every stretch of the New World in remarkable detail.
That single thin chart was worth more than five billion Beli. Only the World Government possessed charts like it.
"Iceburg, could you build a Sea Rail between these two points first? If we connected them, the Marines could respond dozens of times faster."
Sengoku spoke eagerly with Iceburg, and the two even laughed from time to time.
Sea Trains would not only make travel between islands easier. They would also let the Marines reach islands being pillaged by Pirates much sooner.
"Yes. The climate in these waters is fairly mild..."
Their discussion continued. At this rate, it would be no surprise if they talked all night.
Sengoku was an outstanding Marine commander. He could already picture what things would look like once the Sea Trains were built.
He was not alone. Everyone else listened intently to the conversation, occasionally nodding in agreement.
Tap, tap, tap.
Werther tapped the table with his index finger. Every eye turned toward him.
"Inspector General Sengoku, since you're so interested in the Sea Trains, I'll leave the Marines' side of the project to you. Any objections?"
Sengoku tried hard to contain himself, but a smile still crept onto his face.
"None at all."
"Then the meeting is over. Carry on with your discussion."
Werther was about to leave the restaurant when the door suddenly opened. A flustered guard hurried over to him.
"Lord Werther... Her Majesty..."
The guard was so out of breath that he could barely speak.
