"Either you put these on yourself, or I put them on you. Which will it be?" Werther asked Kalifa with a smile.
"Why did you capture us? Are you trying to make us serve you? Dream on. We'd never join forces with a pirate, even if it kills us." Kalifa's gaze was resolute. She was ready to die.
"Heh. First, I'm not a pirate. I'm an Adventurer. Even the Marines have me on record as a Shichibukai."
"Second, I don't want you as subordinates. I'm going to bundle you up and sell you to Doflamingo."
Werther had dealt with the other CP9 members. Now he turned his attention to Kalifa.
"W-wait. Who's Doflamingo? We answer directly to the World Government. Who would dare sell us?
"Even if you're a Shichibukai, the World Government won't stand by if you sell us at a slave market." Kalifa backed away as Werther approached.
"Who's Doffy? Well, let me give you his full name. You know who Donquixote Doflamingo is, don't you?"
"What do you think would happen if he sold you at a slave market? A beauty with your skills would be in high demand. Your companions should fetch decent prices too."
Despair washed over Kalifa. As a World Government Secret Agent, she knew something of Donquixote Doflamingo's standing. If he auctioned them off, no one would hold him accountable.
So Kalifa decided to fight back.
"Flash!" Kalifa darted in front of Werther and kicked at his head.
Werther wasn't surprised. Anyone would fight back after learning they were about to be sold.
But Kalifa had picked the wrong place to fight. They were aboard Werther's beloved ship.
To keep her from breaking anything, Werther activated Lightning Mode. Kalifa stared in shock as he slipped past her kick.
